I agree with your closing comment, but where would this mythical republican come from. The Current peanut gallery are ball less with rubber or no spines. Not to mention the Republicans have done nothing to make me want to vote for them.
Frankly, it doesn’t matter who the Republicans nominate or what the polls say. It doesn’t even matter who votes on election day. The Republicans are losing the Presidency, House and Senate unless they adapt to the current game. We can complain all we want about early voting, ballot boxes, or vote harvesting. Unfortunately, that’s the way the elections are being run until we have the people in place to pass the laws to stop it. But, they are going to have to be elected first under the current process to make those changes. If we don’t adapt our ground game, they will take complete control of every corner of the government and the next thing you know everyone can vote via an app on their cell phone, and guess who controls the app? Right now, the RNC and every one of the candidates (including Trump) is running the campaign of 10 years ago. It’s a different ballgame now where a corrupt, senile, old-man can never leave his basement and yet still be sworn into the White House. What are they doing to round up the early voters and go after those who haven’t voted yet? Who is going to go to the nursing homes to pass out the ballots and take them to the boxes? That seems to be the way of the elections now.
