The failure to call enemy soldiers what they are has led to failure after failure. Wars without victory, for one thing. Detaining enemy soldiers at Gitmo for stupid “trials” as if they were criminals, for another.
There should have been an American governor in Riyadh and an Indian one in Islamabad within six months of 9/11. Instead, we have had 22 years of failure pursuing “terrorists” and pointless wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
All for failing to call things by their right names.
