McCarthy kept gaining votes. Jordan lost votes.

Pyrrhic victory, next election is 13 months away, and Republicans are going down hard after two years of broken promises.

“Nominate DONALD”

I like Donalds too. However, there’s this thing called reality and we all need to become familiar with it.

You’ve summarized it very accurately. The Republican party is not a conservative party. Most people who vote Republican are not conservative. Trump himself has said he’s not conservative.

No one wants to cut the budget save for a tiny percentage of dedicated free market activists. This country has been a godless majority for a long time. The flip happened around the time BJ Clinton was in the White House.

For me, it was Jordan or nothing. I can live with nothing, especially from this bunch of the REMF Caucus.

What part of Trump's first administration was not conservative?

Was it:

  1. Low inflation?
  2. Low unemployment, especially for blue collar work?
  3. Rising real wages?
  4. Standing up to China and tariffs?
  5. Building a wall and having the most secure border since the 1960s?
  6. Cheap gas, super high oil production?
  7. Selecting 3 SCOTUS judges that fundamentally changed the court?

That is an incomplete list but please tell us what is not conservative about any of those things?

...We need our own party...

For many years I wasted my life on the Libertarian Party. All it did was divide our forces in the face of a unified enemy. Undeniable Truth of life #1: Politics attracts the worst of the worst first. No matter what your party supposedly stands for the grifters and petty tyrants among us will worm their way in if the opportunity occurs. Constant identification and removal is an absolute necessity. More so because politics itself tends to corrupt even good people.

Do you feel 15 rounds of voting and nine or more promises to the 50 or so republicans voting against Jordan in secret and in public would have resulted in Jordan as Speaker? A just as compromised speaker as McCarthy was?

In practicality, should conservatives have been offering MORE money and power promises to those 50 than the Dem lobbyists were?

“No one wants the job. No one working for the people. Jordan has never expressed interest in the job. He’s all talk like Trey gowdy

What has he ever done?”

Correct. Jordan has never written a single piece of legislation. He is a show pony who wants to get on teevee to talk to the fake conservatives on Faux News.

Jordan has never gotten actual results such as indictments, impeachments, laws, or anything tangible. Just a bunch of hot air.

The people who actually push conservative legislation like Tom McClintock never get picked up by the entertainers like Hannity or Levin. They just want drama and whining.

You are the RINO here so why don't you answer your own question?

In between now and nest election when these 50 or so can be primaried out, what are Jordan Republicans best to do?

Trump had plenty of conservative policies, but he does not really have a philosophy of conservatism. There is a difference.

He did a lot of great conservative things but I think the reason he got elected at all was that he did not run on a conservative brand because most people don’t like it except for people in rural areas. The suburbanites and the city residents are not conservative and they are the majority of people.
