That’s what they get for trying to use virtue-sniveling, jumped-up golf carts.

I am amused by those folks here supporting electric vehicles while they live in Florida or Texas or California.

Here in the Northeast they are death traps for the winter months.

Some lessons are best learned the hard way (and give NYC credit for at least testing them before trying to deploy them).

The winter population of Banff is eight thousand people.

After the tourists leave they don’t need the buses—so they can virtue signal without risking the life and limb of their passengers.

Good point. I wonder if they run them in the winter or bring the old diesel buses out of the shed.

I’m not sure I follow your point: “so they can virtue signal without risking the life and limb of their passengers.”

Virtue signal during the summer for the “love nature” tourists—then stop doing it for the more conservative locals for the winter.

As you know it is beautiful up there—for sure.

Perhaps. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our brief experience with the electric buses there. Comfortable, quiet, and no noxious fumes. You could sit on the sidewalk cafes in comfort. It appears to be a good solution to bad noise and fume problems.

It does remain to be seen if they suffer catastrophic fires, especially when all the buses are crammed close together.
