To a large extent they have no choice. I suspect Israel will make good on their decision to destroy the leadership of Hamas and install new governance though that's going to be a long process.

Unfortunately, only possible with Israeli occupation and an Israeli designed and organized government over Gaza. That is necessary in order to end Hamas (and other) indoctrination perpetuated in schools in Gaza.
1. Beirut is the last place to emulate.
2. Letting Arab terrorist gangsters escape is not a Success strategy.
3. Israel isn’t fighting this war to just replace one foreign regime in Gaza with another one.
4. The IDF needs to get in with the job now! Then all of the above speculative bull krap will be made irrelevant anyway.
