Plus Boston has added a lot of bike lanes in the city and across the river in Cambridge. It is awesome when they take a main road that is two lanes in each direction and reduce it 50%. It makes traffic flow great. (s)
I was in Cambridge. MA in October. I stepped off the curb and almost got creamed by a dude doing about 30 MPH on an e-bike.
I’d vote for 2 and 3
Boston? still?
Gee, EVs lose power in cold weather...who would have guessed?
Obviously not the geniuses that ordered these things. Wonder what happens there when it gets REALLY cold? It amazes me that with the knowledge we have of how these things work in varying kinds of weather that anyone with even half a mind would order electric buses for anything but a warm climate.
I live about 500 miles south of Duluth as the crow flies. The local transit administrator has stated that EV buses aren’t viable and is continuing to order diesel hybrids.
It’s actually been unseasonably warm in Minnesota so far this winter.
