“””””let’s ask the fools that cannot up 155 shell production here in America.”””””

You think 155 shell production in America is the same as it was 2 years ago and is stuck there?

We have greatly increased (far more than doubling)our production and are headed for more great increases.

“The service has already set in motion an expansion to its 155mm shell production from two facilities in Pennsylvania to another two facilities in Mesquite, Texas, and in Canada.”

Companies are working on the demand for the shells.

“The countries of the European Union began with a head start, producing about 230,000 155mm shells a year—about one-third more than the U.S. The EU also has a better recent record for approving annual spending plans.

By February 2023, European production was at 300,000 rounds annually, according to Estonian defense officials. By November, capacity had risen again, though assessments differ. European Commissioner for the Internal Market Thierry Breton suggested that Europe could now make some 400,000 rounds annually. Estonia’s Pevkur, speaking at a November media roundtable, put the figure between 600,000 and 700,000—and said it would reach one million rounds in 2024.”

There was a firm in Sheffield that makes components for nuclear reactors that recently managed to build a component that usually takes 12 months to make in a mere 24 hours. It is already being rolled out in manufacturing and I expect manufacturing will be revolutionised in 5 years time.

Yes, I know what an M864 is. It is not the aircraft-dropped cluster bomb that the post I responded to was referring to.

29,000 bombs dropped in the first two months alone?

That is 500 bombs per day.

One bomb, every three minutes, for two months?

206 bombs per square mile (much of it farm land)?

Are these statistics from the same experts that claimed 31,000 civilian deaths a couple months ago?

Official Pro-Hamas observer organizations were claiming 31,000 civilian deaths in Gaza a month or two ago.

News sites reported that number, then went silent, and have not reported any updated numbers since then.

I didn’t know, and suspected there might be other FReepers in this thread that didn’t as well.
