A 100 billion here, a hundred billion there, pretty soon you’re talking real money.
Right near the fault line what could go wrong.
this project was designed to fail so that at some point private enterprise comes in and finishes it after government spent a high percentage of the cost of doing the project. no track but lots of infrastructure like bridges and tunnels have been built. also, the land for the rout has been bought.
I’m so happy Rick Scott rejected the government funding for Florida before California tool it. If they can’t get it finished and reach ridership levels per the fed’s agreement...then the state is on the hook to re-imburse the federal money. Wait until that bill comes due California!
Well lookie what we have here:

High speed rail! Here in the United States! You can buy a ticket now! (this is not a joke)
The only catch is the high speed rail is in Florida, not California.
Whatever could the difference be??? It sure is puzzling, isn’t it?
Not a surprise. It was under valued initially and wise people knew that
The WHOLE THING is BS! The $100 BILLION will be used to run the criminal Deep State, not lay tracks! That should be obvious to everyone by now.
And I’ll bet the stewardess is extra.
10% for the Big Guy
All of them. It’s not only the politicians who are stupid.... it’s the Californians...they vote,(or do they?) for them. I wonder how orange county turned blue......
They should have hired Elon and his tunneling machines.
It would be done by now...................

So already I’m proven correct…. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Billions, it’s the new Millions….
And I’ll bet the stewardess is extra-large.....................
Jim and Tammy raised that amount every week...for years.
JoeK Bimentia just gave the project 5 billion taxpayer money. It turns out that is just to keep the project solvent for a few more months.
Don’t underestimate California voters ability to %$@# things up when they go to the polls to vote for these feel good projects. Myself and the wife gave it a thumbs down when it came up for the vote.
Cal used COVID money to establish permanent spending on new programs. Of course the money was one time but the spending goes on year after year.
Now Cal is projecting a 37 billion deficit. Can you say, hello Gov Nuisance?
Cal was spending 30 bill a year on services to illegals. This year we starting paying all their medical expenses, another 3 bill so the total is now 33 billion.
I miss the days (2011) when the projecte cost was this:
“Building tracks for the first section of California’s proposed high-speed rail line will cost $2.9 billion to $6.8 billion more than originally estimated, raising questions about the affordability of the nation’s most ambitious rail project at a time when its planning and finances are under fire.
A 2009 business plan developed for the California High-Speed Authority, the entity overseeing the project, estimated costs at about $7.1 billion for the equivalent stretch of tracks. Officials say those estimates were made before detailed engineering work and feedback from communities along the proposed route.”
It was a pipedream from the start.

Since then, private investors built the rail from Miami to Orlando. Didn’t cost taxpayers anything. DO NOT let the Feds plan anything - they’ll just mess it up.
“...this useless bullet train will carry passengers from one dystopian, uninhabitable sh*thole to the other one...”
And then it will need another $100 Billion, it will never be finished, ever, the Bullet Train to nowhere.
Couldn’t that money be better spent on china joe’s over-ocean railroad to Africa?
