If you want a summary it's that paganism is here and it's going to get brutal and there isn't a political solution. Christians will be facing the same threats and ideologies the early church faced and they need to be prepared. It is our calling to resist this evil even as we cannot eradicate it. This will require the true saving faith in Christ that brings us hope and perseverence.
God will eradicate it with us or without us.
Galatians 6:7
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap
“The End of Times” was a big theme in the 80’s. All “prophecy” pointed to 2000 as the End. Oops.
Thanks for posting. Pushed out to non-Freeper friends.
I’d like to see the post-millennial dominionists’ response to the points of this essay.
No doubt, they’ll say “two steps back, three steps forward.” I can’t detect those forward steps in the 60+ years of my life.
If you want to see the future go to the British Isles, especially Ireland. The land of St Patrick has returned to paganism. A 21st Century paganism, but pagan nonetheless.
“America was founded not just on certain ideals but on a certain kind of people, a predominantly Christian people, and it depends for its survival on their moral virtue, without which the entire experiment in self-government will unravel. As Christianity fades in America, so too will our system of government, our civil society, and all our rights and freedoms. Without a national culture shaped by the Christian faith, without a majority consensus in favor of traditional Christian morality, America as we know it will come to an end. Instead of free citizens in a republic, we will be slaves in a pagan empire.”
There are millions of moral Jews and Buddhists. 10’s of millions of them.
But this author states only Christians can save America. I reject that notion whole heartedly.
