81-year-old veteran, pizza delivery man carjacked in Jefferson Park: 'They sucker punched me'

I had to look this place up on a map, because I grew up in Jefferson Park, and never heard of Ludlam Street. Turns out it's north of the Kennedy divide, closer to Elston. And a pretty long walk to the actual Jefferson Park.

It's been long enough that the only landmark I recognized on the Google map was Habetler.

Yep, but the street criminals travel every where in the city now, via carjacking, and travel where there’s more potential victims of means (people of European ancestry), but without protection. Most of the cops on duty there may live there, but don’t patrol there. They get assigned to the high crime areas. Combined with a dwindling police force, little or no protection in those areas, and the thugs are free to rob, steal, rape and kill. Decades ago When they were prosecuted, they knew to stay our of certain neighborhoods, not any more.
