Getting closer...
To: GuillermoX
The wording of this is interesting. Not 'they confessed', but 'got confessions'. Hmmmm.
To: SmartBlonde
Two of those Florida guys had Hamburg addresses.

Go Germany!
To: GuillermoX
I've read that the former E. German police are very adept at getting information from prisoners.

I imagine there will be a lot of confessions "gotten". There's a lot of good news/bad news here. The spying technology that FReepers have been complaining about will now be put to wartime use. The bad news is that when this particular set of terrorists are subdued, the technology will still be in place. And much better than it is now.

I suspect that quietly, behind the scenes, there has been an executive order signed and agreed to by leaders in Congress that our investigators have similar authority to locate and interrogate "suspects". To hell with the ACLU, this is war.

The bad news is that when this particular set of terrorists are subdued, the technology will still be in place. That is the saddest thing about war, whether you are talking Civil War, WWII, Vietnam, War on Drugs, or whatever: Americans are always much less free for having experienced the war.
