Want to hear my take on the speech? I have not read most of the replies here, so I don't know if anyone has mentioned it or not. There was a plethora of "I wills" in there. Most notably, the last person that used "I wills" was cast down to earth and is destined for the pit.

I suspect we as a nation are guilty of a litany of heinous sins. The worst is placing any God before Him. I agree that this is also probably Divine Discipline, but I suspect we will be disciplined much more mainly because there isn't a huge revival occuring to return to Him. Groups are judged and disciplined as well as individuals. Too few Americans recognize, let alone believe this anymore. God is so merciful, and treats us so much more gently than our sins require. We have been shown, in broad daylight, what one day's worth of Planned Parenthood's stock in trade looks like. The God Who hears every silent scream could have let us see a week's worth of their trade. A month's worth. A year's worth. Or even the whole tale of 40 million lawlessly, ruthlessly murdered fellow citizens.
Instead, He allowed us to see what just one good business day for the abortionists looks like in His sight.
