Hey no-meat-eaters-on-Fridays-during-Lent!

There are a ton of us Catholic Freepers out there, this is our little thread in the big big world. This is just my way of attempting to get to know people just like me.

A few links I enjoy:

www.vatican.va - the Holiest Web Site on Earth
www.scripturecatholic.com - providing Scripture references to support the teachings of the faith

And lastly, I post a joke I once heard on Free Republic:

What is the difference between a Catholic and a Protestant? Catholics wave to each other in the liqour store.

The Neverending Story Thread

Poland: Still the World's Most Catholic Country

This day in History - On October 16, 1978, the College of Cardinals of the Roman Catholic Church chose Cardinal Karol Wojtyla of Poland to be the new pope; he took the name John Paul II.

God Bless you, il papa!

Hey, I won't deny it thrice - not even once! Pro-life is the only issue - what is more important?

What? You mean you're allowed to eat meat at all during Lent?

You Latin types got it too easy!

And a ping to some interested parties.

Northwest Ohio Catholic Bump.

Ours is a parish from the Land of the Cross-Tipped Churches, a name which becomes obvious as you motor through this part of the State. The Fathers and Sisters of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood have served our parish since 1848, God Bless them!
