Same channel, totally different reaction.
When Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton took to the stage at a VH1 benefit concert for victims of the World Trade Center on Saturday night, she was roundly booed by the rowdy crowd, many of them New York City firefighters and police officers.
But at the VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards broadcast on Tuesday night, the New York Democrat received a standing ovation from the music and Hollywood heavyweights in the audience.
Clinton thanked the organizers for holding the event in New York, still reeling from the Sept. 11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.

Hillary Clinton richly deserves BOOING whenever she crawls out from under the slime-covered rock that she calls home. She has never accomplished anything without riding in on the equally slimey coat-tails of her "husband?"NYC firefighter Mike Moran had it right when he described her utterances as "Claptrap"!!!

They forgot to mention that 90% of that audience was gay, cheering one of their own.

That is so great.
I want to thank the people in that audience for drawing attention to the real heroes and what they think.
I want all of America to remember too.

This must of been why AP waited to break the story. They could spin her 2 ways. She is a disgrace.

It's amazing the difference between a hand picked crowd and the general public.

The New York City firefighters' and police unions endorsed Clinton's Senate race rival, Republican Rick Lazio, last year. Not to denigrate NY's finest in any way, but no one should confuse hatred of Hillary!®, which transcends political boundaries, with political conservatism.
For the 2001 elections, the NYC PBA has endorsed 46 Dem's and 4 Rep's.

Of course. (I wondered if I should spell it out in that post). The firefighters and the police who risked their life and limb to save others are the heroes.
The hollywood crowd are a bunch of hypocrits.

They should of hosed her off the stage like a dog turd off of the sidewalk.

The former first lady wasn't the only one to receive a less than enthusiastic reception at the more than five hour benefit concert. New York City Fire Commissioner Thomas Von Essen, who has long had differences with his department's rank-and-file, was also booed. So was actor Richard Gere. The AP wire has finally acknowledged that Hillary got booed. Of course, they had to wait until someone else (like her creepy fashion friends) cheered her.
Then, they have the audacity to water it down by saying others presenters were booed too. They may have been booed, but they weren't booed off the stage.
HILLARY SUCKS! (unless we're talking about Bill Clinton's wiener, then she definitely doesn't suck!)

It wasn't nearly as bad as you all make it out to be. Sure, it wasn't a warn reception, but it was a mixed reception. There were some cheers in there as well. I WISH it had been everyone booing. But at least it angered Hitlerly.

The others who got booed (Gere and Von Essen) handled the booing with grace and dignity. Hillary, on the other hand, looked like a deer caught in the headlights, and her response to the booing was to talk louder and faster.

How on earth was she elected in the first place?? Does New York consist mainly of entertainerment industry people?

It was a UNIDIRECTIONAL mic, which means it was designed to pick up only what was directly in front of it, and eliminate ANY audience noise.
The boos are quite loud, considering that. Otherwise, why do you think she was straining to yell over the crowd at the end?
You are wrong, it WAS as bad as everyone made it out to be. In other words, you got your wish.

LOL!!!!!!!! She gets the humiliation of a lifetime and the best damage control they can come up with is a group of swishy girly-men squealing over her drag queen blouse?!!! Can the baked cookies, tea parties, and a rendition of "Stand By Your Man" be far behind?! Her aspirations are in the garbage....where that ratty ubiquitous pantsuit should be!
