The Painted Bird
If you read it, you may recall.

I read about a similar instance in a Spanish news magazine. The woman died in the throes of passion, and the man was "gripped," so to speak, so tightly he couldn't escape. After a while, he managed to grab the telephone and call and ambulance. Hospital personnel somehow were able to "disengage" the deceased girlfriend from his member.

While this story may be true, it has all the earmarks of an urban legend, including not identifying the unfortunate couple. Note from the link above, this is not the first time this particular legend has made the rounds or been mentioned in the legitimate press.
