I've been away for a while, I hope you are still out there. Just a question: how exactly do we learn to get along with people who want to murder us in the name of their God?

I realize that it is unrealistic to think that we can enact an absolute economic solution, but where given a choice make the right one. peace

re:

Whoops? Slightly out of context?

When I said:
"We're either going to have to learn to get along, or we're
going to be at war 24/7/365."

I was referring to the prejudiced opinion of many, that we
should hold all of Muslim, Islam and those of Middle East
heritage accountable for the terrorist activities of a few.

In the same manner we hate to see "pro life" denounced for
the bombing of a clinic by some crazed maniac, those of
Middle East heritage should not be condemned for what
they have had no part in.

If we continue along that prejudiced path, we'll be at war
with people that would rather be at peace with us.

The topic was "boycotting" any business that hires or does
business with any person of Muslim of Islam belief. I don't
agree that it's a worthwhile thing to do, nor do I believe that
it's justifiable. But it's certainly a person's right to do so.

My comment was reflecting on that.

Thanks.

I think that it is arguable whether we are just talking about a few terrorists. Some estimates put the number of people that follow the extreme "Islam or else" mantra in the 100 million range. Further, if there are Muslims that stand by silently while others perpetrate these acts I believe that they are just as guilty. Don't be PC about this. We need to face reality. It isn't pleasant one but it is reality. As a Christian I condemn the people bombing abortion clinics and would have no problem saying it publicly. peace man
