I have never heard so much disinformation about a single event. It's engine failure No, it's not engine faliure, it was bird strikes. The thrusters must have accedentaly deployed. Maybe, it was St Elmo's fire. I wouldn't be suprised if the next story is about some magic spell was cast on the plane. All I know is that is no evidence of truth being told about this tragedy. The truth hurts too much.

I keep coming back to how "clean" the vertical was coming out of the water. I keep thinking of the bolts holding it onto the fuselage. If subgrade bolts had been used in construction, they might have served ably for 13 years, until that one big wake turbulance smacked it sideways and overstressed the assembly.
Then it's "tear along the dotted line" as the bolts go.
