If anything there needs to be more topically related and 'sticky' sites out there. The sheeple need educating. If it weren't for this site and a few others, a lot of people (including myself) would be missing out on a lot of VERY important information.

All I can do at this point is possibly donate some IT expertise (I'll send a resume if you like.)

Jim, You have a popular site here, for good reason. It is simply the best discussion site on the internet. I know that people have made claims about your finances, and honestly, I have no opinion on that. But I do think those claims only have whatever weight they do because of the donation model you run FR on. If you turned it into a for profit business nobody would care how much you paid yourself or demand that you reveal your expenses. It could be ad based or subscription based or however you think. We are all capitalists here, there is no sin in doing business. Why not try that?

Well, it can't become a for-profit website, because reposting other publications' stories for profit is stealing, not research.

Just spotted your post. Point well taken. Maybe as others have suggested, a "maintenance fee" for posting would be a little more appropriate.

Please keep the site. I'm new, but I really like comming here. I don't understand why anyone would object to this site or the articles and posts written in it. There's some miserable people in this world, and it would be nice if they'd go somewhere else.

You need to realize that this site is one of a kind, and cannot be reproduced. Please to not contribute to it's demise, but help it be the best it can be.

True, outlandish conspiracies are not quite welcome here, but what this site IS about, true conservatism, is a voice that needs to be heard.

I am an avid believer that if not for this very site, we would not have our great president in office that we do. We must all support this oasis of light in the web full of darkness.

I recently spent some time in Eschoir's anti-FReeper site after finding out that I was a topic of conversation there.

All they do is discuss FR, it's like a soap opera fan club in there!

Look, I love FR, spend way too much time here, get in trouble way too often here, and if you shut the site down tomorrow, I would miss it...but I would have lots and lots of other things in my life that would fill up the void quickly. I don't think that's the case with the bozo's at that site. Their FR personna IS them now!

Maintain the site as long as you can, understandable if you can't.
