Daily Survival Kit
By Sheryl Roush
We all need help to make it through the day. Stress is a very real obstacle in our daily lives, as well as on the job.

Some of the best stress medicine is found in the Bible. Here is a list of some items you need to put into your Daily Survival Kit:

As you assemble these items, make a note of exactly how they work, with each Biblical reference.

Toothpick - to remind you to pick out the good qualities in others.
Matthew 7:1

Band Aid - to remind you to heal hurt feelings, yours or someone else’s.

Col. 3:12-14

Rubber Band - to remind you to be flexible. Things may not always be the way you want, but it will work out.

Rom. 8:28

Pencil - to remind you to list your blessings every day.

Eph. 1:3

Eraser - to remind you that everyone makes mistakes, and it’s OK.

Gen. 50:15-21

Chewing Gum - to remind you that if you can stick with it, you can accomplish anything!

Phil. 4:13

Mint - to remind you that you are worth a mint!
John 3:16-17

Candy Kiss - to remind you that everyone needs a kiss or a hug every day.

John 4:7

Tea Bag - to remind you to relax and go over the list of blessings.

Thess. 5:18

The last item you should tuck into your Daily Survival Kit are friends.
Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed.
They make you smile and encourage you to succeed.
They lend an ear, share a word or praise, and they always open their hearts to us.

It would be a sensitive caring gift. One that reaches out to the recipient.

You're welcome. I thought it was of some worth to this forum, considering the onslaught of insipid 'vanities' these last few weeks or so.
