A couple years in the Armed Forces probably wouldn't hurt. Works for many.
You know what's weird about that statement ,Leroy?I've seen the Army straighten young people who were headed nowhere and I've seen the Army turn cleancut, straight, never been in any trouble when they came in ,into alcoholic, whore chasing, always getting Article 15's chapter cases when they got out.

I haven't read all the replies. Just compassionate advice from posters like IronJack.
My advice would be that it is probably not quite time to throw her into a bootcamp.
I am sure things will work out just fine if you draw up a sensible list of what you expect her to achieve over the next year.
I polled a very high IQ score as a kid, but never did a scrap of work or even bothered to go to Uni.
Most of my academic life was spent bunking off school and yet I managed to get into a career that was slightly more fulfilling than wearing a funny hat and saying 'Do you want fries with that, Sir?'
So you see, there is hope for everyone!

I think that you cannot respond to my comments because you may have to admit to some of your own faults I don't waste my time arguing with someone whos opinion I don't respect!
