FSU, as much as I hate that school, has indeed paid a heavy price. Their corruption isn't sytematic the way it is in Nebraska. Nebraska athletics is akin to a criminal enterprise and expands far beyond the usual suspects.

Facts, logic, reasoning. Please provide some facts on what you say! ;)

I am an Oregon fan and I disagree with you. Harrington is a pretty good college QB, has great intangibles, but is not Heisman material. Harrington alone doesn't elevate his team way above their normal abilities. Carr is definately that type of player.

Lets go for the Red Flag as well. The technology is good enough to support the coachs challenges to official calls. Tonight it appears that a QB may have been put out of a game due to an injury sustained by a possible late hit out of bounds.

Should have been David Carr from Fresno State. 4000 yards plus, they beat Colorado and Wisconsin.

LOL NOW someone is trolling. Sure, give him the high school version of the Heisman since thats the kind of division they play in. Although I do give them credit for the Colorado and Wisconsin wins. Those were very good.

How will they ever win a National title again without Rev. (yeah, right) Tom Osborne getting their star players out of jail???

What player did he get out out jail in January 1998 when they won the National Title (part of)?

Go over to some Nebraska football board and they will woof about graduations rates how many academic all-americans they have, but never give you the real scoop, NU Lincoln is one of the EASIEST schools to accel at. The average freshman at NU comes in with a 3.1 and a 1050 SAT, compare that with a 3.7 and 1250 at Florida or a 3.8 and a 1320 at Vanderbilt. Who's the hick school now? Crouch will be another in the long line of doofus Nebraska misfits. See the Peter brothers, Lawrence Philips, shall I continue? Tom Osbourne was pious jock sniffing moron. Any university who's claim to fame is the weight room for the football team has got a problem. I was at the 1995 Fiesta Bowl, NU fans are solidly in the get a freaking life category.

Read "Pros and Cons: The Criminals That Play in the NFL." That book will tell you all about Nebraska Cornhusker felons that have moved on to the NFL to continue their crime sprees.

Sorry, someone made the claim. Now saying "go read the book" doesn't cut it. Cite the facts now is a good idea. Otherwise, the anti Nebraska rants seem like so much envy! ;)

I see, Fresno State beating Colorado was a fluke just like Colorado dropping 60+ points on Nebraska was a fluke.

Yes, please do. That's 3 players. Name some more. Please do.

I agree that Lawrence Phillips was a problem - big time. I always felt that Osborne made a major mistake on that.

Nah, I know you don't like Nebraska. That's OK. I don't like the Yankees and nothing has made me happier than watching them dismantle the team. ;)

It's just a game is what it utlimately comes down to. But a fun game to discuss.

I wasn't trying to "paint a picture". I was stating the facts. Eric Crouch is a QB who had more interceptions than touchdown passes for a team that didn't even win its own *division*, let alone its conference. And he's supposed to be better than every other football player in the country? I am sorry, I don't buy it.

I've heard that your beloved florida teams recruit from work release programs. Perhaps you could comment on that.

F$U seems to have a real problem with their players getting into trouble. It seems that the Tallahassee Police Department likes to pick on F$U football players at will. A 1996 Knight-Ridder newspaper analysis found that over a five-year period, 17 F$U football players faced criminal charges, 4 of those faced felony charges. During the 1997 offseason, 9 F$U football players were arrested, with only 3 receiving suspensions.
