A suicide bomber blew hinmself up a few minutes ago adjacent to a bus stop at the Checkpost Junction near Haifa.
At least eight casualties have been transferred to Rambam, Carmel and Bnai Zion hospitals, according to Magen David Adom spokesmen.
They are suffering from light to moderate wounds.
The bomber is still alive, having sustained serious wounds, according to reports.
The intersection is heavily traveled Sunday mornings.
It is the second attack in Haifa in a week.
Boy, this suicide bomber can't do anything right. Allah is probably not pleased.

Arutz 7 HazMat Unit Dispatched to the Bomb Scene in Haifa (IsraelNationalNews.com) The Ministry of Environmental Affairs has dispatched a hazardous materials unit to the Checkpost Junction, the scene of the latest suicide bombing attack in Israel.
At about 7:30am Sunday morning, a suicide bomber detonated a blast at the Checkpost Junction in the port city of Haifa. The location of the attack is one that is very busy with soldiers on Sunday mornings, returning to their base from Sabbath leave.
Police are reporting the bomb appears to have been relatively small and the bomber was most likely spotted by security personnel at the area, prompting him to detonate the blast prematurely. These factors are believed to account for the fact there were no fatalities and the relatively small number of wounded.
Medical officials are reporting the number of wounded has climbed to 11, with all the wounded reported in light and moderate condition. They were transported to the Rambam, Carmel and Bnei Tzion Hospitals.
The HazMat team is being dispatched to investigate the scene to determine if any chemical or biological substances were used in the explosive device. It now appears this is now a new protocol that will be followed in terror attacks.
‘INN’ reported earlier today that one of the bombs used in the Dec. 1st triple bombing attack in Jerusalem contained an over-the-counter rat poison, presumably intended to injure emergency responders.
