All liberals think they're God. That's why they're always angry. We don't follow their divine decrees.

Salter was a perfectly competent sports reporter. When she moved from the newspaper's toy department she reached her level of incompetence.

Vengeance is never the answer to "What would Jesus do?" Especially vengeance that masquerades as "justice." Auggghh, what a stupid git! The total annihilation of bin Laden, all his forces and all Islamic terrorists would "do justice." Vengeance has nothing to do with it.

What is she gonna do when the Grapes of Wrath are trod, and the blood gets as high as a horse's bridle?
I reject her card-board cutout version of Jesus for the True and Living one in the Bible.

Re:#5.
I'll bet she's hardly even cracked a bible, yet she can speak for Jesus, huh...Her knowledge appears to have been absorbed through osmosis by using the pages of 'Holy Writ' as I once used the Sears Roebuck catalog out in the old two holer.

The Newark Star Ledger used to carry his column years ago. This isn't from his syndicated column, actually; it's a column he writes just for his own personal web page every day!
He also has a column for the Minneapolis Star-Tribune" that runs once every 2-3 days. And his syndicated column still exists, via the Newhouse News Service, but it's kind of a bitch to find a permanent URL to that one. You just have to know what papers he's in and remember to check them on the right day of the week.

Thank you!
I'm glad to see that Salter's misrepresentation of Christ to serve her own personal agenda is being refuted for the garbage it is.

You're right, of course. Salter actually hates Jesus and obviously doesn't know Him to make a verbal caricature of Him as she did. What she's too self-absorbed to realize is He loves her.
And...Merry Christmas!!!!!!!

I reckon Saltus is OWK's (et al) kind of Christian: feeble, feckless, simpering, powerless, and wholly inoffensive.
Yes, there is form of Christianity that is tolerated by atheists, and Saltus has it pegged perfectly.

Merry Christmas to you and yours
Funny what passes as ability to write a column these days.

For anyone who doesn't know, Stephanie Salter began her stint with the San Francisco Examiner (since merged with the Chronicle) in the 1970s as a sports columnist who dove head first into the controversy of the day -- women in the locker room. Having solved that international controversy, she now poses as a columnist on the editorial page qualified to speak for Jesus Christ himself. This is exactly the type of pap that caused me to cancel the San Francisco daily rags years ago.

Thanks for the ping Timesink. That Chronicle article was truly disgusting, and I appreciate Mr. Lilek's response...Too bad his 'Editorial Response' wasn't posted on the SF Chronicle - but he's right, that paper is just fit for lining the bird cages.

Salter married a guy who was charged with molestation, right?
