Yes! This whole attitude of dragging these bums in and asking for their opinion or take on current events only ADDS A DEGREE OF CREDIBILITY OR LEGITIMACY to the bums....sort of like addressing or re-arranging their 'legacy'! Ticks me off royally.

Who knows.....maybe that is the end goal of FOX.....run as many conservatives away as possible and then, somehow, feel justified in 'showing their true colors' like the rest of the media.....LIBERALS!

Won't it be a hoot when Janet Butch Reno loses to Jeb and FOX News Network hires her....actually, when they hired Zahn, I began thinking it won't be long and we'll see Jocelyn Elders...a new show perhaps, called, "For The Chilrun".

Won't bother most conservatives, though......they keep moving their own 'line in the sand' backwards, time and again....

The only logical explanation can be that Fox is trying to prove to the world that all Media Wh*res can be bought and will change the tone of their reporting to suit their bosses.

"Liberals win by destroying things from within. This applies to anything they touch. From the takeover of the Media, Education System, Arts, and even entire states, liberals always destroy by sneaking to the inside of their enemies and gutting them."

Yes, yes, yes. Look at the mainline Protestant churches.

The liberals don't have to worry about conservatives beating them. Conservatives always out do each other and the parties they are members of always fall apart because someone is not conservative enough or too liberal for the rest of them. Just look at the attacks on libertarian thinking on this BBS. Oh god can't have people who believe in small government, no gun control, pro private property rights and states rights if they think that drugs should be legal as well!

This will bring down Foxnews and CNN the liberal castle will rise again.

WTF??? On top of being an extreme leftist, Greta is uglier than dirt. The only reason most people I know watch Fox is to get away from people like Greta. I suspect this will backfire bigtime on Fox -- many of their viewers will just turn off their TVs altogether before consenting to Greta on Fox.

If that's true, and she really is replacing Zahn, I'm glad -- Zahn has always struck me as being a bit vacuous and airheaded.

Say what you want about Van Susteren, she is -- in cable news, anyway -- a heavyweight and a serious talent. She will bring credibility to FOX, and her move will hurt CNN, which will be seen as a falling star.

I've been trying to find an explanation for why she turned down a larger counter offer from CNN. There are two obvious possibilities: 1] They gave her the counter offer after she had already signed; and 2] She just didn't want to stay at CNN for some reason.

But there is another possible reason why she took a smaller offer from FOX: It is possible that she has ambitions for things greater than CNN will ever allow her to do. Perhaps at FOX she will be able to take on more reponsibility or have more control or something -- I don't really know, I'm just guessing.

Whatever happens, I think it will ultimately help FOX and hurt CNN. I'll be interested to see who is next...

I am among those who find Greta repulsive, but let's remember what Ailes is trying to do - create a vibrant network with a variety of opinion, right, left, and center. It is an entertainment business. And what is entertaining - and interesting - is to hear various points of view vigorously debated, not just a steady stream of any particular ideology. He is betting that this will be a much more popular product than what CNN is putting out. If anyone bombs, he will let them go. If the ratings are there, he will hold them. If he puts Greta together with someone who will press her hard, I think we will have pretty good television as a result.

Boy, hope Ailes is reading here.....oh, oh.....what about the B-I-G "O"....she must live there fairly close to the FOX studio! Piece o' cake! Fair and balanced!!!

Wowser, this is almost getting to be fun....trying to find the liberals who can really bring something to the table........."This is Butch Reno reporting to you from Waco, er Crawford, Texas".

Does anyone else find it funny that there are well over 300 responses over a dang liberal attorney tv personality being brought on board what even the liberals complain is a 'conservative' tv station? And this just after a dang liberal attorney - tv personality - supposed 'investigative journalist' - Kneepadder of the Perverted President - is hired to cover a 'war' that can't even tell the truth about that? I mean, do we really need 'attorneys' telling/making up the news?

This whole attitude of dragging these bums in and asking for their opinion or take on current events only ADDS A DEGREE OF CREDIBILITY OR LEGITIMACY to the bums....

The thing that most upsets me is that the TV hosts are in on the scam.

You can't convince me that Sean Hannity or Alan Colmes wouldn't love the chance to make news and scoop the others with an exclusive expose on someone like Richardson. But they make nice to him like nothing ever happened and don't go near the controversial stuff. And then, when they do claim to be objective with others you have to ask why they weren't as aggressive with the "contributors."

And this thing with Dick Morris releasing little tidbits over the coming weeks: Hannity and Colmes both know what Morris is going to say (you can see the smirks on their faces), but they play the game, they go on with the show (that's what it is, a "show") and will pretend to be breaking news next week and the week after.

But, I'll still be watching Fox News over the other networks.

Let's see if I get this right. You'll stop watching O'Reilly because he won't spend bandwidth attacking another Fox commentator. With all due respect I think O'Reilly has bigger fish to fry. I also think this sounds a tad petty.

Yeah, you got it right, pal!

I guess "plain talk" just doesn't appreciate "honest talk" the way I do. Call me petty! If I can't trust what a news reporter is telling me, why would I want to continue watching that reporter? So I can guess whether he's lying this time or not? And why would I want to watch O'Reilly's No Spin Zone if he simply makes it a No Coverage Zone when the issue involves FOX's integrity?

Geraldo's lie was not just some little innocent mistake. It was a flat-out, calculated lie -- similar to the one Clinton told when he wagged his finger into the camera.

So you go ahead and waste your time watching Leftist liars while I spend my time being "petty."

Certainly, they are in on it. How could Sean, who avows he is a conservative, possibly keep a straight face as he talks to Dickie the Toe Sucker!! I have no idea how he acts with the Whore because I quit listening when O'Reilly had his big 'interview' with the Whore and the Whore had no regrets about The Perverted President--and he still maintained it was only about sex or lies--give me a break, the Whore is supposedly a lawyer! And, as you say, how can Sean remain civil to the likes of Bill Richardson?

I'm sorry, but when you lay down with flea-bitten dogs, you get up with fleas! Where else does Sean compromise? No one ever asks that question.

It's reached the point I can't stand Sean Hannity....he sounds EXACTLY like Lannie Davis, Paul Begala, James Carvile, George Stephanoupoulous (sp) defending the Pervert.

I'm tired of the phoniness of what passes for 'conservatism' today....

CNN has just improved by leaps and bounds.

Yo be-baw. I must have been under a rock yesterday. Ailes is either dumb like a fox or dumb as rocks; I truly don't know which it is. To be a fly on the wall when they have their "strategery" sessions. Are we being sold out for a larger cause?

Two(actually more) problems with leftists on the tube:

    1. GARBAGE IN! They are "Utopians". As such, they are out of touch with reality. Their thought processes have to go through so many convoluted and useless iterations, that by the time information gets where it needs to be, it no longer resembles the original input. It has been filtered, flaxed(2: the fiber of the flax plant especially when prepared for spinning), and farkled til it fits their skewed(2: to distort especially from a true value...) vision of the world, or maybe more accurate, how their world should be. Reminds me of an old Coke commercial: I'd like to teach the world to sing....... you remember.

    2. GARBAGE OUT! See #1.

Are we being sold out for a larger cause?

I'm speculating two things are going on here:

1)Ailes is obsessed with CNN and passing them in viewership. Since van Susteren has (reportedly) the second highest ratings among CNN's shows, he thinks that luring her away will be a minus for CNN, if not a plus for FNC. I believe, however, that he's taking a big risk because (as can be seen on FR) he's alienating a goodly number of Fox's strongest supporters with his signing up liberal grandstanders like Ms. Rivera and Mr. Susteren.

2) He's trying to get even with CNN for luring away Paula Zahn.

Geraldo has already significantly damaged Fox's credibility with his 'confused' friendly fire reporting. Ailes cannot afford another blunder like that. Let's face it, the rest of the media are out to get Fox, and ANY mistake or sloppiness in reporting will be magnified by Ailes' competitors in both broadcast in print media.

Are we being sold out for a larger smaller cause? Now, that's better!

Regarding your two points re: Ailes: I'm hoping he has a larger vision than just trying to knock the snot out of CNN(although a worthy cause).

...he's taking a big risk because (as can be seen on FR) he's alienating a goodly number of Fox's strongest supporters...

True, but where else are we going to turn for our teevee news? How many of us will actually switch news channels because of this? Fox may be sliding to the left, but they're still the best we've got on the tube. Besides, taking risks is why he makes the big bucks?????????

Let's face it, the rest of the media are out to get Fox, and ANY mistake or sloppiness in reporting will be magnified...

Too true. But as long as they don't make any major blunders, each time Fox gets their name on the "Big Three" evening shows it's free advertising. FoxNews in the news!

I wondering what hand Rupert Murdoch may be playing in all this? Does he really allow Ailes to run FoxNews, or is he a "hands on" type of owner? I wonder how Fox's ad revenues compare with, say, CNN's or MSNBC's? Maybe Murdoch wants THEIR advertisers as well, as Fox's mostly conservative viewers are not prime candidates for "touchy-feely" ads? And why don't we(I) know the answers to these questions? Pi$$es my off!

Onward through the fog, be-baw.

I'm still 2+ weeks away from having the FNC option, but I expect I'll still flip around among the 3 cable news networks. As the risk of having you smack me for saying it, there are times when I find either MSNBC or CNN pretty darned good. An example: on MSNBC this afternoon, while Daschle was putting air to the big lie, MSNBC interrupted him (fairly early on during his speech) and put on Charles Grassley for his comments on Puff's speech. Grassley, of course pointed out how Daschle and other lib Senators are seeking the presidential nomination, etc. Amazingly, even though Daschle was still spewing, MSNBC didn't go back to him after finishing the Grassley interview.

Also, MSNBC's military analysts have been top notch, for the most part.
