Subject: Re: What Are You Scared Of?

Those who are coming in here to post a bunch of propaganda to smear Bush or otherwise harm the war effort are going to be deleted.

I guess you missed my posts where I said that I am 100% behind our President and the war. I don't care if it's Ron Paul, Larry McDonald, or the head of the John Birch Society himself. I do not want it on FR. And I do not want a bunch of 40 year old conspiracy crap. Not interested.
____________________________________________________________

There you have it. Free Republic is not an objective reporter of the facts but a blatent supporter of the Bush administrations' war for oil, and by Jim Robinson's own admission.

In another post, Jim states...

____________________________________________________________
Jim Robinson (Free Republic)
by JIM ROBINSON in This thread

Lots of grumbling lately about deleted posts. Well, my friends, the simple truth is the game has changed. We are now at war.
____________________________________________________________

Of course, Jim Robinson has it wrong. We're not at war. Only Congress can state otherwise and there has been no formal declaration of war by anyone. Bush hasn't gone to Congress to ask for such a declaration because that would restore Congress to its role in the balance of powers doctrine on which the nation was founded. Bush has no intention of allowing Congress to second-guess him, and indeed Bush has flat out declared that he will not bother informing Congress of intelligence operations from this point forward as is required by law.

Yes, we have been attacked, but it's not really known by whom. Even the FBI admits the IDs on which they based their accusations were faked using the stolen identities of middle eastern Arabs, some of whom have since turned up alive. From this it should be obvious that we cannot really know who was on those planes, only who we are supposed to blame.

But Jim Robinson isn't interested in these facts. He's spiked threads pointing out that the FBI admitted the IDs used by the hijackers were phony. Jim Robinson has spiked threads about how some of the accused hijackers have turned up alive. Jim Robinson has spiked many of the threads dealing with the Israeli spy scandal and the fact that the US has classified evidence linking some of the arrested Israeli spies with the events of 9/11. Jim Robinson has spiked threads suggestng that Bush has exceeed his constitutional authority. Jim Robinson will tolerate no doubts about the righteousness of Bush's war for oil.

But more than that, Jim Robinson displays an arrogant assumption that the presence of a war justifies anything. He argues that we should get behind the government because (he claims) there is a war. But translate that to Germany of 1939. Was it the right thing for the German people to unquestioningly back Hitler because there was a war on? Or would the German people (and the world) have been better served taking a pause and a closer look at just what the government was doing? And if Germany should have examined their government's claims a lot closer, then how can we not do the same now?

Free Republic has shown its true colors. Jim is "not interested" in facts, only in selling Bush's wars. Free Republic isn't about news any more, only about propaganda.

I can't find any statement in it that is factually correct. Whoever the whacko is who wrote it needs to get back on his/her meds real quick....or maybe go for a nice, long walk and just calm down.

Looks to me like the site it comes from it a mix of anti-semitic bs along with the view that whatever the US is doing is wrong, or some kind of super plot to enslave us, etc. etc. If that's where the extreme right wing is at these days, they're a clear and present danger to the Republic.

I haven't had any of my anti-government remarks pulled. And believe me, there are plenty of gripes against the government around here.

Neither have I. And there should be plenty of gripes against the government around here. Especially since its splendid prosecution of the war hasn't exactly turned the government into good little boys and girls otherwise. (In case no one has noticed, the era of big government...ain't over until it's over.) But when I say so, I tend to catch more flak from the pro-government (ssshhh! they don't like it when we call them statists!) posters (Republican and Democrat alike) than I ever have from J.R...

Yep if Jim didn't kick the liberals and muslim disruptors off we'd be overrun with them. I joined FR so I could be in a CONSERVATIVE forum without all the PC and propaganda garbage.

We here at FR know different, I would like to challenge anyone to try and post a discenting view point on DU and see how long it is before your account is wiped out. What bothers these groups who claim censorship, is the fact that JimRob has the most popular conservative website in the entire world and they can't deal with the facts. Jim and the Moderators do a great job dealing with the disruptors.

The other fact about this accusation is: If Jim Robinson wants to censor every single opinion posted on this website, he has the absolute right to do so. Jim is the owner and if you find that your opinion is not welcome here......TOUGH SH*T, go find some other website to post your opinion on.

I'm am officially placing the phrase "As soon as Michael Rivero gets a life." along with hell freezing over.

It wasn't but 100 some odd days ago that little creep used to post here day-in and day-out, the whackiest conspiracy that dropping acid, doing speed and drinking to excess could generate ...

Call it "The E. A. Poe syndrome" with an Internet twist ...

What makes me wonder is why no one ever mentions the vast amount of oil that we get from Mexico and South America. Why doesn't Mike go chase that one? Oh, I forgot, that wouldn't bash the current prez.........

Whatever. Trivial word games aside, are there any Vietnam vets who think that we weren't actually at war in Vietnam? And President Bush did receive congressional approval for military action, so let the author put that in his pipe and smoke it.

I guess you missed my posts where I said that I am 100% behind our President and the war. I don't care if it's Ron Paul, Larry McDonald, or the head of the John Birch Society himself. I do not want it on FR. And I do not want a bunch of 40 year old conspiracy crap. Not interested.

Gasp, what a terrible thing for Jim Robinson to say (NOT!!!). The author weakened his argument by posting Jim's words here.

But Jim Robinson isn't interested in these facts. He's spiked threads pointing out that the FBI admitted the IDs used by the hijackers were phony. Jim Robinson has spiked threads about how some of the accused hijackers have turned up alive. Bush's war for oil? The author is really showing his "objectivity" here after moaning the Jim Robinson doesn't have any. News flash for the author of this tripe: It's Jim's website. He can keep or dump any thread that he wants and he doesn't have to explain it to your dumb ass. Don't like it? Then go away, stay at your website, and quit moaning about how other people run their websites. And comparing America to Nazi Germany ain't helping the argument, either.

Its called editing.

Yep. You said it all. That alone should end the discussion, but I might as well throw in my two cents.

How can someone compare a private citizen's personal property with the action of a government in 1939? Ludicrous! It is censorship when the government stops you from speaking. It is NOT censorship when someone comes into my house as a guest and I ask them not to use foul language in front of my kids or whatever. These people are a bunch of complete idiots and give themselves away when they suggest that they believe we don't know who was behind the bombing.

Mr. McDonald has pointed out that Congress must declare a war but fails to understand that only the Government can censor speech, not a private citizen. What Mr. Robinson has done what is known as editing. Its his priviledge of ownership of the Free Republic.

Yeah, after reading all the responses, I got that impression. I just did a websearch on him, and only came up with conspirasy theory sites like American Holocaust.

That creep is also legendary in the newsgroup circuit like alt.conspriacy and various e-mail lists on a number of subjects INTO WHICH he inserted himself qualified as often as not as an expert!
