WASHINGTON - The Justice Department is giving top priority to arresting about 6,000 Middle Eastern men who have ignored deportation orders, it was reported today.
The men are from nations that U.S. authorities believes are strongholds for members of Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda terror network, The Washington Post says.

Thank you, Sen. Kennedy, for your open immigration policy. I'm sure the reason is--it's easier to keep an eye on terrorists if one allows them in one's back yard. Trouble is, once they get in, the INS loses them. But I'm sure they are just harmless, misunderstood, very nice guys...who just happen to want to cause mass murder and mayhem on America.

I would also like to believe they have in their cross-hairs, everybody with a drop of Middle-Eastern ancestry that has taken...or attempted to take flight training in this country (for a start) within the past 10 years.
Create a StarChamber....find them and either deport or kill them. Frankly, I don't give a damn one way or the other.

The plan to give priority to a group of Arab and Muslim men over other foreign nationals ignoring deportation orders worries some immigration advocates - and may raise racial-profiling issues. Most of the 300,000 people ignoring deportation orders are from Latin America.
This is a no-brainer...label all 300,000 as criminals (not just those from the middle east, which proportionately is a small percentage of the total). I'm all for equal opportunity expulsion. The real issue is that nothing has been done for an awful long time to enforce the laws regarding immigration.

I hope they're spending more efforts in rounding up the ME illegals than people from Mexico or Central America who are just here for money but not to kill us.

Let me get this straight - it is racial profiling to NOT be equally INCOMPETENT in enforcing the law?
Have we come so far that someone is defending peoples right to have an equal chance to get away from court-ordered deportations?
What Freakin' Planet are these people from?

"The Justice Department is giving top priority to arresting about 6,000 Middle Eastern men who have ignored deportation orders, it was reported today." (New York Post)
How about deporting all Arab and Moslem aliens?
Washington just doesn't get it. It is treating Americans like dirt in the name of "homeland security" - like all the stories of women airline passengers groped by screeners reveling in the FAA's new rules allowing underclass, disproportionately-minority screeners to grope mainly upper-middle-class European-American female fliers - but it won't take a simple measure that won't take away the rights of one native-born American: deport all Moslem and Arab aliens!
Oh well, mainly after a few more congresscritters get strip-searched at airports like Dingell just did, they'll get it and start finding ways to protect us without taking our rights instead of the only group wanting to be kamikazes for Allah...

The Justice Department is giving top priority to arresting about 6,000 Middle Eastern men who have ignored deportation orders... Like heck they are. Where is the list of names? Where is the link to their photos? Maybe one of these 6,000 work in my building lives in my neighborhood. If it was true that they were serious, they would be making the names/faces available for the general public to turn them in.

Got to start somewhere with illegal immigration. Might as well make virtue out of necessity.

""I enforce the letter of the order from headquarters," said an INS supervisor who asked for anonymity. "It says deny entry only if the special registrants fail to exit-register for reasons which are frivolous, or if they are suspected terrorists."First, fire this dumass for not knowing the INTENT of an order if it flew into the WTC!
Then start with HIS stupidvisor.
SHEESH!

At San Francisco International Airport, for example, "several dozen" foreign scofflaws have been readmitted, an INS inspector there said. "We have only denied one, and the supervisor took some heat for that," he said. INS readmitting Arab scofflaws
WTF!?! Are these idiots striving for job security at the expense of Americans' security?

Yeah, but it won't work that way, it never does. It's far easier to find Julio than Achmed, so guess who's going to get deported and listed on some grand spreadsheet?
