That's the first time I've seen Shaniqua Vander Heuvel where she doesn't have a sour expression on her face...

From that perspective - I agree with you.

I am watching him now on The Weak with Sam and Kooky - he seems to be a little more 'on'.

Perhaps we should start the Freepers Brit Hume Fan Club - nothing gets to me like a man who can outshoot the dems in an interview...makes me weak in the knees :). Tony Snow would be right up there also tho - can't leave him out!

For having a very pretty face, Katrina VadenHeuvel has a monotone insane leftist voice.

And her mind's all messed up. Does she even realize that NYC was created through the culture of the West and not insane leftism? I doubt she realizes how foolish she looks...it must be that having so much money, the little rich heiress doesn't need to bother to think things through.

Thanks, and here's a little more than we need to know about Ms. vanden Heuvel:

"My father worked for Jack Kennedy and Bobby Kennedy. As someone who is both pragmatic and visionary, he was--and remains--an enormous influence on my political thinking. Another influence was my godfather, Roger Baldwin, the founder of the ACLU, who gave me a sense of how to effect political change outside the electoral political process--through the media and nonprofit world. My mother was the radical spirit--who made me see the link between culture and politics". Here's a link to hear her opinion on the UN and how The Nation's subsciption rate will prosper "when the government is in the hands of the other side".

Lieberman is full of crap! Where was he when lot's of us lost money in the "dot.com" collapse? Nowhere? Why? Because it didn't bash Bush! That's the only issue here. Bashing Bush.

By the way, like most people, I took my losses and moved on and overcame any damage on my own.

Stephen Cohen is probably this one:

U.S. And Post-Communist Russia

Summary:
Since the collapse of communism in the Soviet Union we have watched the steady decline of the only other superpower in the world. Stephen Cohen, Professor of Russian Studies and History at New York University, believes that America's arrogant and naive desire to reshape Russia in its' own image is to blame for today's tragedy of Russia. He also accuses American diplomats, consultants, advisers and journalists of committing malpractice in presenting inaccurate accounts of events in Russia to the rest of the world.

Guests on this program:

Professor Stephen Cohen
Professor of Russian Studies and History at New York University

Publications:

"Failed Crusade: America And The Tragedy Of Post-Communist Russia"
Author: Stephen Cohen
published by Norton

Did anyone catch the not-so-thinly-veiled threats about Bush's Interim Appointments.

Can you give us more info on this, what is the Dem position going to be on the recess appointment?

Evans sort of hit on the idiocy of Waxman but the point needs to be made even strongly.

Waxman says that the Bush administration should have stepped in to help the Enron employees/shareholders as soon as they new the Enron ship was sinking.

Henry, Hello? Henry? What would you have the administration do? Put out a "SELL" recommendation on Enron? Call all the employees and tell them to SELL? At that point, who is going to BUY? And if someone did BUY, what's to become of them? At this point it becomes strictly a zero sum game.

In most things economic where you have the possibility of wealth creation and real growth, the RATS cling to the idea of the zero sum game when it doesn't apply. In this particular case when you really do have a zero sum game, they conveniently ignore that fact.

The tupee is rabid in his interview (attack) on Paul O'Neil. The secretary is giving thoughtful and simple answers to the wigs questions on ABC.

Dingell looked like the sniveling hypocrite that Democrats are, on this issue.

Thanks Mr Guitar man,

I don't get FOX but I can see the show this evening on FNC.

Who interviewed Paul O'neil? On ABC it was Sam Donaldson who was frothing and didn't have the courtesy to wait for the answer before asking another and another and another. Guess he grew some spine as it wasn't too long ago when "ask my lawyer" sufficed in a response given by X42 regarding Juanita Broaddrick's rape accusation.

Dingle came on fuming about how Bush officials received donations and were later contacted by Enron execs. Brit Hume nailed him by pointing out that Dingle took money too. Dingle earlier said that because Enron contacted Cheney, there should be an investigation. Hume got Dingell to admit that Enron had contacted him too! Dingle refused to say when! It was classic.

Brit Hume is what a TV reporter/interviewer should be. He is smart, fair, asks tough questions of 'pubs, 'rats, and even RINO's. And he does so without appearing rabid or partisan or emotional.

Brit Hume is making a difference in this country.

I applaud him for his contribution.

Ms. vanden Heuvel & hubby Stephen Cohen: They're both frustrated Communists. They long for the glories of mother Russia under Communist rule!

Joe Biden said on MTP that the recess appointments made by Bush would be countered by some unnamed democrats as a trigger to block more appointments. I don't have the exact quote but is sure sounded like a threat to me.

We agree: Hume and Snow- both attractive, both right wing, both intelligent and both have disdain for their 'mainstream' colleagues in the media- I think a fan club is in order!

Russert is full of "the tentacles of Enron are far-reaching" type pronouncements today, but somehow the only tentacles he points out are the ones touching Republicans.

Dingellberry said that since Cheney was in discussions with Enron over deregulation, he would investigate. Then Hume nailed Dingell when he asked if Enron had ever contacted him. Of course, he was contacted. Unless Dingell is a hypocrite (laugh) I guess he has to investigate himself!

If he was decent like the Bush Team, he would recuse himself because of the possibility of a conflict of interest and allow himself to be subpoenaed (sp?).
