Operation Infinite FReep in Full Effect in NYC
Dave Dilegge

I just got off the phone with Dave Dilegge, who gave me an early report, a few minutes ago.
With about 20 patriots at the rally site so far, things got off to a rousing start with a special chant that really pleased the police there: "POLICE ARE GREAT, IT'S TRAITORS THAT WE HATE!"
Leadpenny called while I was writing this up, to give me a list of who's there so far:
JohnnyMac, BigGrayTabby, Little Bill, Dutchy, Electric Strawberry, Cacique, Race Bannon, KLT, OneidaM, Johnny7, Oschisms, NewWahoo, Nitro, Sauropod, Leadpenny, Dave Dilegge, Loanpalm, Johnny B. (not [yet] a FReeper, just came to support us). Lots of flags and great signs. More to come...

Hi girl, how ya feeling?
I am back at home. This morning I caved in to massive family pressure not to attend. Long story. Let's just say I was successfully resisting until my parents called and got into the act. Funny thing, when parents get older they have almost as much control over you as they did when you were younger (sigh). They've been watching the news and I just couldn't make them understand the layout in that area, and that I would probably not be in any physical danger.
Anyway, I was down there at 11:00 to deliver my balloons and Nitro's flag, and to make my regrets in person. They are one enthusisastic bunch today. We were not even in sight of the other rally at that time, though you could hear them pretty well, and the numbers may be larger by now.
Cop in the subway station told me there were only about 500 protestors near the Waldorf at that time, but they did expect a lot more. I told him I was sorry for the extra work thrown their way this weekend, and emphasized that the little group on the corner of 51 & Lexington were the GOOD guys.
For some reason I thought this was going to be on C-Span, but it's not.

They have begun the march on the Waldorf-Astoria. Well, poopsie, do you think we should call in the registered French standard poodles and make for the getaway limo before the street urchins arrive? Or do you think we have time for tea and petit fours before we go?

They tend to greatly exaggerate their numbers, but the helicopter thing is true. Mr. H reported helicopters hovering around the Union Square area nearly all day yesterday.
They are looking for trouble. I am sure they anticipated something in Central Park, wouldn't be the first time.

Akara Holder, second from right, argues with New York Police officers Funny...an argument requires an active interchange between two or more people. Looks like Holder is just ranting there in the background and the cops are ignoring him. Good on them!
Looks like the freaks are in full effect now...

From the Indy Media Freaks site:
| 2:11pm EST |
Outside plaza hotel, reports of multiple police arrests. Confirmed reports that pepper spray and excessive force were used.
The march was temporarily blocked but is now continuing. |

I'm feeling OK, sort of, but I wouldn't make it standing out there all day. So I'm helping out as much as I can from here -- FReep Central. :-)

If I was a cop, I'd be laying down the napalm on them.
those traitors should consider themselves lucky.

Outside plaza hotel, reports of multiple police arrests. Confirmed reports that pepper spray and excessive force were used. Kinda windy for pepper spray. Assuming I believe it was used, that is.

Honey, you can't even SEE the Plaza Hotel from where the Freepers are. 58th & Fifth vs. 51 & Lexington.

Well, somebody noticed my balloons...

1) The funeral ribbons are in memory of the 23 police officers who were murdered on the morning of September 11, 2001.
2) How NOT surprising to see these freaks making fun of people who love this country.

I would like to know what they're now doing at 54th & Lex, though. Maybe our guys should take off.

Heard from Dave? I have KLT's cell #, should I call?
To: hellinahandcart
I just tried (again!) to call Dave's cell phone, but once again got James Earl Jones telling me that he's not available.
If anyone knows how to reach anyone else who's there, please do so and advise them.

I haven't heard from them since the last time Leadpenny called. So I'd suggest calling KLT and telling her what's going on and what's being alleged.

Sorry I am missing it all. Too much going on at home for me to take the trek into Manhattan, but I am CHEERING on all our great NYC FREEPERS! I know you are doing a great job.

I'm afraid it will take violence to end communism in this country.
To: Starrgaizr
Thanks for the link. I was a few blocks outside the WTC when all hell broke loose and was "on the run" for a few hours after, so I like to read threads about what everyone else was seeing and hearing as I was in the middle of it. Kind of freaky to read about it.

I got through to KLT, everyone is fine. They can see the other marchers now but the police must be holding them at Lexington. There's only a few minutes left of our rally anyway, they'll be leaving shortly for a post-freep celebration in a location I (ahem!) cannot disclose here.
KLT thinks Dave must not know his phone's out, she's going to tell him about the problem.

I just got a quick call from them. They see the freaks heading their way. The area is on lock-down, and then he had to go suddenly. I did tell them what the IMC site is claiming, about 8K scum heading that way.
To: Starrgaizr
Every now and then I still get flagged to the thread I happened to start that morning, and sometimes I just can't even go back to read it. Glad someone's got them all linked, though.

They were supposed to leave at three anyway, hope they decided to just bag it and go.
Someone needs to take the anti-American jackoffs down here and hand 'em a bucket:

In case anyone is wondering, 'cart started this thread on 9-11, the third post of that morning, before anyone knew just how horrible it was:
Plane Crashes into World Trade Center
Bump the archive thread now and then so its gets widely bookmarked. Thanks.
To: NYC GOP Chick
They just showed people marching on NY1. There do seem to be a great many of them.
This is the first live footage I've seen today.
To: Starrgaizr
Aw jeez. We were the "stupid" thread; on the other two, people figured out what was going on at least five minutes before we did...
To: NYC GOP Chick
Just spoke to my son who stood in for me today (ELS was there also, but not mentioned above). They have just broken up (permit was until 3) and are headed for a bar on 50th and 3rd. My son said he did some time on the megaphone and was able to get pictures; they'll be up as soon as possible.

Anyone catch "Now" with Bill Moyers on PBS last night?
BM guested some yahoo who maintained the NYC protesters were merely defending world democracy. The fawning Moyers marveled at, and hung on his every word.
Funny, every maggot I've seen interviewed at the protests has not once mentioned democracy
Before that was a hit piece on Enron and the administration. Couldn't stand to view the show in its entirety, but what I did see was the most disgusting display of media bias I have ever witnessed. No balance... zilch, zero, nada.

Do you have a link for any live coverage of what is happening there?
To: NYC GOP Chick
Well, I'm off--thanks for the thread, and do get well soon.
To: messenger4
No, there was just a brief interview on a local station, NY1. They're not doing a play-by-play.
To: hellinahandcart
Thanks for the info. Appreciate your posts.
To: NYC GOP Chick
Good to know all those Columbia and Fordham students, and even NYU, won't be cutting classes to protest all these grave social injustices....like cheap gas, rent control, Starbucks Double double Mocha lattes ;-)I'm kinda wondering how the lefties count crowd size, aren't you??LOL
To: hellinahandcart
I just spoke with Oschisms. They're at the post-FReep celebration and everything went well. He said the police did a great job, and the FReepers let 'em know how much we all appreciate them. :-)
