This is your compassionate "conservative" government at its best. Aren't we relieved that we don't have to worry about our Constitutionally protected rights now? (sarcasm intended)

Ahh, the wonders and joys of the WOD

"These government agents had no search warrant, no arrest warrant, and no lawful authority whatsoever." If this is true, then the agents committed a crime -- without lawful authority, they are acting outside their capacity as LEOs -- and they should be prosecuted and sent to jail for the same.
Nope, I'm not holding my breath...just waiting to see which of the agents gets promoted first.

"The American Civil Liberties Union of Colorado filed the suit on behalf of Dan and Rosa Unis and their sons against the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation." Why bother with the ACLU. We already know the action of the DEA and CNI is unconstitutional. That has not obviously stopped them from continuing with unconstitutional "searches and siezures."
Hafer v. Melo, 502 U.S. 21 (1991) State officers may be held personally liable for damages based upon actions taken in their official capacities
Find the best civil damages trial lawyer in Colorado, file a multi-million dollar law suit against each member of the CBI "gestapo team" who invaded the Unis' home.
These type of suits, on a regular basis, will "chill" all police state tactics. Knowing in the back of their minds they can lose their homes, cars, bank accounts, and future wages due to their lawlessness and contempt for our rights, is the only effective way to get them to back off.

Tough to defend and indefenseable position i guess.

If this is true, then the agents committed a crime -- without lawful authority, they are acting outside their capacity as LEOs -- and they should be prosecuted and sent to jail for the same. They should be prosecuted individually for acting outside their authority. Sued in a civil action, and a criminal action, along with their supervisory staff, and agency. Making them personally responsible for not confirming the action they are taking, while playing wanna-be Seal/SF, will put a stop to a lot of this $hit.

If this family had been armed, my money says they would all be dead now.

Wait s sec, you're flagging a mod because someone pinged you to a discussion? Why not just FRmail the person and tell them not to ping you?
This is a political forum, not daycare.

Don't hold your breath. This is the reason so many of us are so disgusted with law enforcement and the War on (Some) Drugs - the fact that it has made unacceptable actions by law enforcement unpunishable. There is precious little accountability - see any number of cases like this, Ruby Ridge, Waco, etc.

I'm all for it. Now show me a case where it has been successful.
To: tahiti
A huge ping for your #7. It's time to start getting personal with these counter-constitutional freaks.
If they want to act like paramilitary thugs, let's ruin them personally.
