Move to NY. You can smoke here without penalty. Besides, we could use the Libertarians against the Dems. Kind regards.

Having grown up in the Granite State and now living in The People's Socialist Republic of Connecticut and being a waterfront owner I can verify the facts about how individuals who own waterfront are treated by the states here. New Hampshire is actually one of the least oppresive of the states but it is getting worse.

I don't think so. Here in Kalifornia I am denied a concealed carry permit because I do not carry large sums of cash. I don't carry large sums of cash because, if I do, it is assumed that I am a drug dealer and the cash will be confiscated without proof. My freedom and quality of life is being destroyed by the war on some drugs.

What's all that have to do with whether drugs should be legal or not? There are many more conservative states that allow concealed weapons and have tough drug laws.

The police or DEA should only follow those they have solid evidence against. If they don't, there should be changes made within a police department or Federal law enforcement agency.

I think that the only possible position on doing waterfront work is NEVER ask for permission. Just do it, with as low profile as possible.

A friend in Jax FL says that the water nazis now use aerial photog and update their imagery to nail "unauthorized" use of one's own private property.

(The concept of private property is becoming a joke, we are rapidly reaching the old "hunting on the King's land" stage.)

well if one will be an outlaw anyway might as well be hung for being a wolf instead of a lamb. I found out that over the weekend I was a criminal. I had not "registered a rifle I owned that is newly subject to registration in CT. Feb 15 was the last day to register it and there had been no prior notice. Oh well fortunately I have a place in another state to keep things. It is now there.

The red-zone gets more red; the blue-zone gets more blue. Are you planning on leaving CT?

My plans are very much up in the air right now. My wife's death on February 16th was one of the reasons that I did not get the word in advance. I have much to do and am posting again of Free Republic while doing some other tsks that must be done around the house.

I also am pretty stubborn and fail to see why I should leave when they are the ones violating the Constitution and making war on America. Maybe I shall decide it is time to bring a court case. It costs a lot but I may just decide it is worth spending all the money and time and aggravation. There are some other possible options.

That said I am at heart a Southerner or maybbe one who would like the mountains of the West. We sahll see what time brings. I feel confident that many true Southerners will forgive my Yankee place of birth.

I'm very sorry to hear of the death of your wife. May God bless you and yours. And may the wind be forever at your back.

Unfortunately, this has become SOP for Denver metro LE, and, even worse, the DA's office is complicit in the cover up.
