Aren't the "Ashes" books kind of post-apocalyptic, with warlords battling over America? Yepper..
Starts with surprise attack on amerika ( a liberal, PC america )
The main character is ex-military expert turned writer, and manages to survive what appears to be a combo chemical / biological attack that paralyzes the country.
The real "stretch" is the science fiction-ish inclusion of cannibalistic mutants living underground in the urban centers.
Other than that, it is a good read, a lot of action-adventure mind candy.

I think I read on of them a while back.
That genre is set pretty far in the future, compared to mine which is set "the week after next".

Do a search on a copper box, The Bloto Box and an assasin box, it's pretty well documented by the phreaking community.

Another excellent chapter. You know, there has to be a list somewhere with your (and about a hundred other FRegulars) name on it...

Thanks!
I'm in excellent health, and no harm will come to me because that would only publicize the actions I am writing about.
To: Travis McGee
Glad to hear it. But people have been known to drive drunk in the opposite direction of their hotels for several miles only to get out on top of a bridge and fall over into a mighty river.

I hear you, but that would only mean more books sold and worse publicity for the gestapo: it's too late to stop.

Interesting!!! Bump for later
