Hmmmm... Where have I seen that picture before? $;-)

The PHILE_PILE is for everyone's use. Feel free to source as much stuff there as you'd like.

I show images like the picture of that APC tooling down that Santa Clarita street, and I ask them, "If you saw this coming down the road right in front of your house, would you feel safe, or scared?". The answer has never failed to be the latter.

I can see the justification for having police APCs: for withdrawing wounded in the open under sniper fire etc.

But inevitably, the politicos will misuse the power of APCs for high risk "inspections" as I parodied above.

Satire today, reality tomorrow.

"Hi, we're here for your annual random gun safe examination, firearms inspection and bullet count."

"Oh, we thought you were parked there for the weekly neighborhood Sniper Rendezvous! Ya might wannaa move that thing, the guys are getting itchy."

Don't worry, they won't stop by for the inspection until THEIR snipers have given them the all clear.

There is at least one at every raid. Actually, seeing a sniper is an excellent early warning system. "Burn the tires!"

#260 - seems like a call for practice of headshots. Some like to call it "Prarie Doggin'".

Burn the tires: if it ever gets to the Mogadishu stage, we will already have passed through stages 1 to 19.

Be carefull sir,

"It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brushfires in peoples minds..."
-Samuel Adams-

Your Satire today may spark off a southern Calfornia brushfire someday soon. I've heard those things can really spread!

The guys in that APC will eventully learn that their heads sticking up that way make very inviting targets and with the APC buttoned up they will wind up taking out a number of innocent bystanders. Oh well the war on guns takes sacrifices from all the citizens.

Stay well - Stay safe - Stay armed - Yorktown

I want my book to be enough of a warning that we don't go down that road.

If the idiots in charge in our capitols continue to go down the road to confiscation and the militarization of our police, it will be a complete disaster for our nation.

I just hope my novel reaches enough of them to wake them up in time to head off the disaster.
