Question: Who is the "Chair" In the House of Reps Right Now? I Don't Recognize Him!

Check out CSPAN, someone...there is an unfamiliar face in the chair. I thought JC Watts was the only Republican African-American in the House, but it appears there is an African-American running the House now, and it isn't JC! Thanks, politico-philes! :)

Tsk! A non-Fellowship-of-the-Ring aficionado! I'm shocked, I tell you shocked!

Well, I can identify him. It's my ex. I always wondered what happened to old Sweetness and Light...

Yeah, yeah, you and my husband. I won't see the movie until I finish the book. I can't finish the book until I start the blasted thing. I can't do that until I find where the kids put it. What does that make me? "Big 'L' for LOSER!"

LOL, that is the saddest
story I've heard all day!
Well, you know yourself best, but I'll give you this on-the-other-hander. My wife and I are longtime LOTR fans, having read the books probably easily a half-dozen times, if not more. And we thoroughly enjoy the movie (she's been 10X, I 11X).
But both of us wish we could have the experience of seeing the movie knowing nothing. Yes, even as it is, I was still in tears on my eleventh viewing, even though I knew (because I knew?) what was coming. But nothing can replace the thrill of discovery, of total surprise.
All that to say you might reconsider! You only get one first time.

If you ever see Fellowship of the Ring, you'll see your worries are over!

I'm sure you are talking about Henry Bonilla (R-TX). He is a latino.
I have seen two movies in the past two years--"Harry Potter" (awful) and "A Beautiful Mind" (not awful). I had free passes to both specific movies. My husband has seen one movie in that time--"LOTR." I cannot, for the life of me, remember when we last saw a movie together.
We really need to get a babysitter!!!

LOL, yes, you should! (You should also know that I've never done this before, and we're not frequent moviegoers -- we usually rent. But even after eleven viewings, the tears still trickle. It is a wonder of a movie. I'd read a LOT of hype, and it transcended the hype!)

Whomever it is, he seems to be morphing into Al Gore!
