Why is Linda Tripp being blackballed?
Posted on 03/01/2002 10:52:56 AM PST by watsonfellow
First of all why is Linda Tripp still out of a job? This is very disheartening; are Republicans afraid of her? Reason 1235 why I will not be fooled into voting for Bush again, some gentleman he is.....

I looked in the part of the Constitution that describes the responsibilities of the Executive Branch and failed to find the phrase "hiring manager."
Perhaps you could help me out here..
Sure. Which way did you come in?

It is interesting to point out that as hated as John McCain is on this website, he at least once said that Linda Tripp should be reinstated in the government...

Linda Tripp gossips about her employer,,I think that is why she isn't being hired. And if this determines anyone's vote, whether she gets hired or not by the executive branch, well I just have to,,,sigh.

I think I recall Tripp being involved in rumor spreading during the Bush-41 administration about GHWB having an affair with one of the admin staff.
And also remember that LOYALTY is a top criteria for the current Bush administration. So she's out (Linda Tripp)

Or, that Ms. Tripp worked in the White House during the Bush-41 administration, yet voted for Clinton in 1992.
To: watsonfellow
I think Linda Tripp a) spread some unfounded rumors about Bush I having an affair b) is not a team player and c) is also radioactive because hiring her would arouse and anger the democrats d) and I think there is no upside in that hiring her would not motivate republicans.
So it boils down to there is no political upside, there is a political downside, I'm not sure she has great talent or skill, I'm not sure why she can not catch on in the private sector either.

Is there nothing more pressing to worry about besides Linda Tripp being hired by President Bush? Seems rather inane to me.
To: watsonfellow
I would give the reason but Jim told me not to once....

Who cares?
To: doctor noe
Who cares? Because first of all she did this country a great service by pointing out the misdeeds of Clinton etc. Finally, if this is how we treat those who are on our side; then clearly our ranks will become quite thin. What does this say to future whistle blowers. Loyalty is fine; but this current President; who I am growing to detest every day; overdoes it. This is not a police state.
To: B-A-Grizzley
I think you recall wrong. DOn't be used by the media.
To: watsonfellow
It was reported today that Linda Tripp has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
She gets screwed and the Clintons get to loot the White House with no consequences.

What does this say to future whistle blowers. Loyalty is fine; but this current President; who I am growing to detest every day; overdoes it. This is not a police state. Kathleen Wiley said that she found out about a supposed thing between GHWB and some woman named Fitzgerald from...Linda Tripp.
There's a difference between whistleblowing and rumor-mongering.
And, how does Bush not hiring Tripp equate to a police state?
Anyone who has no marketable skills (as she has not been able to land a private sector job either) should be working on upgrading those skills.
Even Tripp herself has said she doesn't expect Bush to give her a job.

I think Linda Tripp a) spread some unfounded rumors about Bush I having an affair If my memory serves me right ( and it doesn't all the time) I think that Donna Brazille during the 98 election when she worked for Dukakis and he was running against Bush Sr.. At that time Dukakis fired her for spreading the rumor than Al Gore hired her for his campaign in 2000.
To: watsonfellow
Why does Linda even want to work for the government. I am sure with her experience she should be able to find employment in other fields. Maybe Lucianne could find her something.

Then why didn't/doesn't McDumbass hire her then?

... this current President; who I am growing to detest every day ...Oh stop, your detestation is breaking his heart.

Well, how about she change her line of work? Government isn't everything, is it? There is all types of work a smart person can do. Most offices have computers these days. Stop crying and look for work, my advice to Linda Tripp.
