The Allen County court house in Fort Wayne Indiana is a beautiful structure. It has the scales of justice (whatever the official name is) on the dome, with the states history depicted around the upper facade... Indians, Johnny Appelseed, General Anthony Wayne, etc..
It looks important, and screams history.

The Susan B. Anthony lost my trust...I will admit feeling a little partial to Sascagewea and Jean-Baptist on the new dollar coin...

I don't think so - most of them are bright pink. This is soemething else, but I can't remember what. There are some of these trees at Indian Spring Park and the courthouse parking lot.

But the bird is a horrible grackle. They have infested the town, very noisy - huge flocks pooing all over the place.

I believe the Allen county Genealogical Society or Public Library is supposed to be a real treasure trove for genealogists....I have a bookmarked site....will have to seee....hopefully, there will be a picture of the courthouse.

Val....I like the pictures....Bosque County sure has a different looking courthouse!
Hill county--looks like the stone is tinged pink....is that limestone? What about McLennan?
Glen Rose with the clock tower, the front steps, and the windows reminds me of the Missoula county Courthouse...in Montana.

The Waxahatchie County courthouse was completely surrounded by scaffolding when I was there - and so was Hillsboro the last time I was there. A whole lot of renovating going on.
