I've noticed several doing that. Liberals? They got Mike's comment pulled I see. Nothing offensive there I could see. When people bash the USA, which has done a LOT for Israel and wants nothing but the best for Israel, tempers do flare.
I've chosen my side and make my comments accordingly. Instead of the example you used I would have said;
The Americans had the same problem in Occupied France and I was not happy to see them lose any tanks (or soldiers or anything).
Frankly, I think FR went downhill the day JimRob allowed censors!

I object to my posts being lifted because I reacted honestly and not with vulgarity. I have seen many posts here where curse words were shortened with a blank letter. I did not cross that line!
Having said that, my discourse to a_witness was logical and to the point. To delete the whole post because of a hyphenated flame on a poster removed an analytical rebuttal from the forum.
The fact that the whole post was deleted detracts from the spirit and essence of Free republic!

Is a person who blows up a tank really a terrorist? It surely applies to those who blow up innocent civilians, but striking at an opposing army should perhaps give the perpetrators a different name. Not that I really object to the use in this article - there are of course other factors to include - but to me it seems like everyone is using the word "terrorism" these days. Be it Mugabe calling the opposition "Terrorists", Cuba insisting that the USA is a terrorist state, etc.
