Well, I live 20 minutes away from th German border.

I don't know many personaly, but I will tell you a story.

In the Netherlands we got yellow numberplates, Germans got white ones. One day we were driving through Germany to get me some computerparts. It was about an hour from the Dutch border, so we didn't quite know the way. We almost turned the wrong way, but we discovered that and a German man let us between the line of cars to turn to the other side. While he was driving behind us, he signaled to us we should pull to the side. We did and he got out and said he saw we were Dutch and asked if he could point us the way!

Here in Holland Dutch people would never do such a thing with Germans. Dutch people do not like Germans very much, but it's improving. The Germans are not the same people then back in the 1940's when they occupied Holland.

German music is not my kinda music, but I enjoy listening to some German bands like Bonfire (almost Americans these guys) and Jaded Heart (AOR/meodic). I do not know what you mean by 'martial music' (if you mean the music they played during WWII, no, I do not like it).

I do not enjoy seeing them demonized, the did a lot of wrong in WWII, but it's a new German generation. The Germans are not bad people.
