...Last November we had the man who portrays him in .."WE WERE SOLDIERS".. SAM ELLIOTT ..lovingly mingling with real Heroes and their Hero Families in D.C. with the Real Deal Hero at home.

...He and Mrs. PLUMLEY were at our Ft. Benning GA Special Screening for IA DRANG-1965 Vets dressed in Civies and dressed in Army Dress Blues at the Los Angeles Premiere in Westwood.

Thanks Ronnie. I can't say as I blame Plumley for laying low. A couple vets here in my hometown are much the same way. Very humble people (and there's not a damn thing wrong with that).

My Dad was much the same way. He never, ever, talked about the war with me or my mother.
