The Party pictures are in! Washington FReepers from the Pacific Northwest met for a St. Pat's Day party in Lakewood at the Happy Days Diner. We had a great time and found out that the restaurant owner is a conservative as well, so hopefully we recruited a new FReeper. The box of mint GS cookies was awarded to the FReeper who made the longest trip to party. Honors were taken by Connectthedots who drove all the way from Vancouver! (Coincidentally, they are his favorite cookies!)

Everyone had a great time and I want to thank people who brought cameras and music. MLibertarianJ had a CD of the Ballad of Mike Moran which was played along with Charlie Daniel's "This Ain't No Rag it's a Flag," "I'm Proud to be an American," and of course some awesome Irish music by Old Blind Dogs. The first round of drinks was provided courtesy of Billthedrill - who was sadly missed due to work conflicts. Three Cheers Billthedrill!

I have a quick question. What are those things y'all are wearing with long sleeves? I've heard about "coats" but the only one's here go with suits or are used in the rain!
To: TheirJustDue; gopsue; Vicki; Washington Husky
TheirJustDue and Mark R., friend and former conservative candidate, talk over the issues
of the Seattle area. (Ping to MRS. TheirJustDue, who was such a wonderful addition to the group.)

BTTT Please bump if you stop by here. I'm going to have to re-do your beautiful photos (much clearer than the ones I took) because they are appearing in giant size. Hopefully I'll be able to format them correctly and be back soon!
To: Libertina
Great to see all those freepers! Thank you.... Did you all manage to solve all the world's problems while you were partying? Or at least decide the best way to obtain world peace?
To: Libertina
Hey, Libertina - with prizes like GS cookies, I'm going to have to work harder to get to the next gathering! (Had an important meeting at my church that night - sorry.) Looks like a good time was had by all.

Friday Harbor bump (dad lives there)...and a double bump from Cross Roads Whitney...just east of Anacortes Ferry...the Cross Roads named after my family that had a prominent history in the area.
I am in Marin County now...but love PNW...was there 3 weeks ago...flew out to the island on Kenmore...love the area
Excellent party...
To: Libertina
Bippity-Bumpity Boo... Bummer I missed it... work-related... maybe next time :0)
To: Libertina
Thanks for the bump.
Something is missing in the pictures though. I can't quite put my finger on it. What could it be?
To: Libertina; **pennsylvania
A special prayer bump for publius' family. He is back in Philly taking care of his Mom's estate after her passing.
To: Big Ern; Publius; Billthedrill
Thanks Big Ern, you're right. Some important faces were unfortunately missing from our gathering. The past PS Chapter leader, Publius, got the sad news just days before our party that his dear mother had passed away. He flew back east and will be there for a month putting family business in order.
Billthedrill, as I noted at the beginning of this post, was busy with last minute clients flying in from the east coast, and couldn't make it. However, he took the time to secure our room at the Happy Days Diner and put down the "earnest" money on our reservation. Thanks BTD, the only thing better would be that you were with us...(and your brew too! :)
Finally, Big Ern, who had originally been given the day off, needed to give it up for another employee whose mom was sick. And then he had to wrestle a big tree in his yard into submission! Lots of unexpected events take us away from these events, but each FReeper absent was missed. Thanks Big Ern for your hard work planning for this chapter. For your amazing ideas (such as the National Gun Purchase Day) and just being a great guy in general.
To: In veno veritas
BUMP! Hi Veno, I somehow forgot to list you in photo # 2 after Mark M and before Mrs. Robroy. IVV is our "boomer." Thank you IVV, for your brave service to our country!
You

Dadnabit!
How is it I didn't get invited, or even know about it so that I could invite myself?? I joined the Chapter over two years ago, perhaps 3.
I suspect record keeping has been ad hoc:)
Anyway, I'm in for the next one.....IF I KNOW ABOUT IT lol
The joint you guys were at is less than 20 mins from home......Puyallup.

Mariner. I will make sure you get invited to the next one.
Have you signed up with the Puget Sound Freepers or are you just on the Washington page?
If the answer is no to the first half of the question then freepmail Libertina withe your name and email (and phone # if you're comfortable with that) so you can get added to the list.
To: Mariner
If you haven't been to a party in the last 1 1/2 yrs or responded to one of the RSVPs you were probably culled from the chapter list.
To: big ern
BTTT - I gotta make it next time.....

I am honored to be welcomed in such a patriotic group.
Nice snowstorm we had today in honor of the first day of spring.
To: SW6906
Yeah, we've heard that from you before.
We can set our watches by your backing out of the party the day before.

To Our Friends and Well-Wishers at FR:
Many of you requested a photo when we announced our engagement. In that I am "HMTL" challenged, I don't know how to post photos. So I am pinging all of you on this thread from a local FR gathering we attending last Sunday. We are in post #16!
Freegards always,
Dead Culture Watch and LGE (soon to be Mrs. Dead Culture Watch --- Uh, still working on the new name for me!)
To: LoneGreenEyeshade; Dead Culture Watch
Congratulations to you both! A fine couple, indeed. Best wishes to you!

Very funny Houston. Tell you what, you invite us over to your neck of the woods and we'll show you that the "conservative" red West coast knows how to dress! :) As a Seattle to Houston transplant, let me assure you you'd find little use for sweaters here.
You're welcome anytime. But bring light, loose clothing. Half an hour outside in a sweater and you'd come out looking like a prune.
