How about dismantling every agency in D.C.?

Shhhhh! They'll go and create a Department of Dismantlement!

So what happened to the two INS agents? They were fired on the spot, right? </sarcasm off>

Maybe the INS really is this monumentally stupid and inept, issuing visas to dead terrorists, losing wanted terrorists, etc. But it's almost... too stupid. Who knows, maybe this series of "foul-ups" is deliberate and planned... to bring about swift and draconian immigration reforms with a minimum of opposition.

PLEASE don't add any stress to the lives of the good citizens of Virginia and North Carolina. I would wager that the four Pakistanis are right here in Tennessee; securing their new driver's licenses. Remember...the motto on Tennessee license plate says "Sounds Good to Me (especially if you are a terrorist looking to secure identification)".

Ziglar is an interesting case. Hmmm...

Jim Eastland's aide, comes from Pascagoula. Hmmm...

Know what? This guy ain't no libertarian. He's the last of the red hot segregationists. He's in the post because he's supposed to be recruiting a new generation of "darkies" for the plantations.

For those of you old enough to remember Eastland, that's no news. Younger folks can look it up.

In the meantime, we can sit back and watch the Keystone Kops chase the PakTerrors around the countryside.

Why was a Shipload of fertilizer allowed in Hampton Harbor where our boatyard is located? Didn't we have 2 of these types trying to hijack a gasoline tanker in Wilson,NC on Rte I-95 (about 100 miles away) a couple of weeks ago?

As an aside, Pakistan isn't in the Middle East, hence Pakistanis aren't "Middle Eastern." Pakistan is in South Asia.

We had some random truck driver claim that some people in a car who looked "Middle Eastern" to him try to cut him off. There are a lot easier ways to hijack a tanker truck than when it's moving on the highway. Nothing heard of the incident since and I strongly suspect it was completely bogus and/or the supposed suspects weren't Arabs, "Middle Eastern" etc. at all.

As we've now learned (see other threads) none of the four Pakistanis is on any sort of terrorism watch list or is a terror suspect at all.

That's not what Fox News has been saying. Besides, granting shore leave to Pakistanis without visas since 9/11 is against the INS's own rules. That agency is run by morons.

Nah--Atta already sent them some and I'm sure they had them before they ever set sail. He was here two or three times that we know of.

There's a good chance they haven't gone very far. Plenty of targets here. Lots of bases and ships, 2 shipyards, a nuclear power plant...bridges and tunnels everywhere.

Most likely they're hiding out in a local mosque or in one of muslim schools in the area, waiting for Easter weekend--or even for April 19.

Granting shore leave to Pakistanis without visas, thereby breaking INS' own rules, "not knowing" whether or not they're on a terrorism watch list, issuing visas to dead terrorists, and the whole world knows about it... like I said, it's suspiciously too stupid. It almost looks like a set-up (or a plan) designed to make the current INS look so dangerously incompetent even the dumbest libs will shut up and go along with swift and major reform.

Are you talking about G.S.S.D.I.? A global infrastructure of information which is part of Agenda 21, more folks wanting a chunk of the good 'ol USA? The INS is somewhere in kindergarten with shared and linked intelligence.

IMHO what happened in Norfolk is unconscionable and a pretty good indication that the War on Terrorism is not being taken very seriously by the front line at home. Tom Ridge may be a terrific guy in many respects, but he is not the man for his job and Lord knows, Ziglar, the reluctant Libertarian, isn't the man for the INS!

Who was it that said "they checked out fine"? If that person was a civil servant or federal worker...you can't fire him/her. Lovely isn't it, we have idiots working for the gov'ment and you can't FIRE them. Off with their heads!!!!

That cartoon would be even better if it showed the INS chunkhead's head stuck up his own ass.

Ignoring National Security.

This is incomprehensible. I hope everybody calls their congressmen and demand that this corrupt, dysfunctional agency is abolished and Ziglar is fired immediately. John Conyers was questioning Ziglar about his immigration experience to lead this agency and his response was "I know some immigrants" or "I don't know." That's it, this man knows nothing about nothing. His head should roll for this one.

The man struggles with his beliefs and his INS mission? What is this and why is he still there? I can't believe a Carter man was appointed again, they were all disasters! Put someone with the voice of a drill Sgt. and the cajones to get the job done! George Bush - Fire This Idiot! Now!

Bush hired him for this job. Before this, he was the Sergeant at Arms in the Senate.
