The Bush administration is pushing Congress to make good on the president's promise to grant amnesty to millions of Mexican workers living and working illegally in the United States. Bush is preparing once more to take up the matter with Mexican President Vicente Fox in Monterrey, Mexico, on March 22.
James W. Ziglar, commissioner of the Immigration and Naturalization Service, for weeks has been insisting the issue is alive. 'Some believe that our migration talks with Mexico have been forgotten in the wake of September 11. I assure you that is not the case,' he told a gathering of pro-immigration organization leaders at the National Immigration Forum Conference earlier this month.
Mr. Ziglar outlined the administration's goals earlier this month at the immigration forum conference, where he said that ranking State Department and INS officials have been meeting with 'high level Mexican officials' on amnesty and related immigration issues. The 'amnesty' is more of a point based guest worker program that would provide legal status, with points being awarded for certain qualities in the applicant. Enough points would qualify a person for a visa.
Those who would be most eligible for the program would be illegal workers who have been in the country for a long time, are employed, have family connections here, have passed background checks and have no criminal record. One question is whether the visas should be temporary or permanent. President Bush wants them to be permanent, in the form of Green Cards.
Others want to see something more like the H-2 temporary work visa, renewable indefinitely. As a compormise, others suggest that Mexican workers be given renewable, temporary work permits. After six to 10 years, the workers could be made eligible for permanent residency. The administration argues that the nation needs foreign workers to farm and garden and to do the menial hotel, restaurant and hospital jobs that many American workers disdain. They say their cheap labor benefits U.S. consumers by keeping down the cost of food and services. Of course, it is also important to recognize and treat fairly the Mexican nationals who have taken up residence in our country.
An excellent point that is censored by the media. And in this real war which is being waged on our soil, Jorge Bush makes Neville Chamberlain look tough by comparision. I have my doubts that America will still be soveregnity by the end of his term.
I'd love to be in Congress right now. I wouldn't be one of these calm, going-to-get along types. I would try to talk common sense into the do-dos. I would explain to them the ramifications of their actions, trends that are occuring now, along with history, and would indicate what the end result will be of said policy.
I don't think that there's much common sense left in the U.S. Government. It's apparent that they do not care for the rule of law, nor do they understand the concept of illegal, non-assimilation, taxation without representation, fraud, etc.
Guys, I'm serious. I'd love to run for office. I feel that it's my duty to fight for what is right, and for what is left of America. I'm serious. I want to run for public office. In fact, many Freepers need to run for public office. We need to have a network across the nation in which we have candidates running in every needed House and Senate District. I'm serious. Why do we not do this?
LOL. If Bush were a doctor he would tell a patient with a malignant tumor that no treatment was necessary. That it is a “beautiful tumor” that needed time to grow and “harmonize” with the rest of the body. Quack, Quack.
We Southerners are a very united group, and we are PO'ed to the max with what GW is doing. Hes done fine on the war issue, and dealing with all of thiat, but now he's selling off our borders, language and culture. These issues are of great concern to Southerners. We love our culture, and language, and we sure as Hell do not want our southern border to be essentially erased. Who will deny that millions upon millions of latin americans will attempt to move here should the New World Order crowd get their way, and establish a EU styled borderless America's?
Remember the agenda of the New World Order:
1. Enact a Free Trade Agreement.
2. Push for increased trade between memeber countries.
3. Now that trade has expanded, begin talks that will allow the free flow of people over borders-(this is where we are today).
4. Now that trade and the free flow of people over erased borders has begun, start talks about a common currency between member countries, and attempt to expand the entire concept to more nearby countries until the continent is fully included.
5. With free trade, and the free flow of people using a common currency, there is little need for multiple governments. Begin talks on centralization of power under one main government.
6. Adopt a new continental flag that gives no emphasis to the old concept of countries, but shows inspires unity. One flag, one people.
7. Europe was first, now the America's are united under one flag and one government using a single currency, it is time to welcome into the fold the Asian countries who will deny their sovereignty, and welcome continental unification.
8. With all three major continents aligned, the greatest goal can now be achieved. World unity is the ultimate goal. The final chapter in The Plan: total unification under a global system of government, a global flag, and a single global currency. These are now within reach.

I'm not so sure that is the case. The Bush-Bots were making a big deal the other day with a poll that showed that among registered voters, 53% of those polled said they would vote for him today with the rest either saying they would vote for someone else or were undecided. What were they all excited about? It was that Bush's % moved up 2% in the last month. What they didn't want to talk about is that Bush's support is down a net 2% from year-end and 53% is hardly a comfortable lead, especially when Bush benefits from the rally around the flag effect in this war on terrorism.
I think Bush has already lost considerable support from his conservative base from his insane Amnesty/Open Borders policies and his signal that we will sign CFR (among other sellouts). If Bush had widespread conservative support he would be running near 60% given the war. And as Bush exacerbates the illegal immigration crisis in America, more and more conservatives will leave his camp. Moreover, he will lose substantially more support across the board if his lax immigration policies are directly attributable to more terrorist attacks. What scares me is that I have to believe that he knows this.
There is a reason I said the word "risk" when describing the actions of Bush's domestic political advisory staff in the West Wing and Old Executive Office Building.
That is because, they are succeeding in getting their boss painted as a big OPEN BORDERS guy, for transitional amnesty under the cloak of regularization, and also for continuing with a terribly incompetent INS.
The risk backfires in their face when between now and reelection in three years (or midterm elections) a truck bomb or suitcasenuke gets set off in some metropolitan area, and the whole nation goes back to it's angry vigilence regarding nonsensical open borders which they had on Sept. 12th (which they have since gradually eroded, or at least Fox and Bush and State Dept. perceive this erosion).
With the prospect of hundreds or thousands more bodies of Americans laying in the street, Mr. Bush is gonna have some 'splainin to do over his INS and his border policy during what we already knew to be a Time of War.
And all it may take is for an electrifying conservative GOP leader or independent to go after him and electrify a national backlash as punishment against these sordid and naive immigration policies which contradict homeland security.
Lord knows the President's inner cirlce of those who think they are saavy would risk the Presidency and national security all in the effort to chase the Hispanic golden pot at the end of the vote rainbow, which will probably yield them a rather low net increase anyway at the end of the day.

Last week, the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) mailed out approved visas for the Saudi terrorist hijackers who slaughtered thousands of Americans at the World Trade Center.
Apparently, the INS had not heard that the Saudi mass murderers were no longer alive.
The visas were approved six months after the Arab hijackers carried out the worst terrorist attack in American history.
Among those approved for visas was Mohammed Atta, the ringleader of the Muslim butchers.
They were the most notorious illegal aliens in U.S. history, the name of one terrorist was instantly recognizable and both were Arabs applying for permission to take flying lessons. Yet no red flags were raised at the INS or its private contractors when it notified the Huffman School of Aviation in Venice, Florida on March 11, 2002 -- exactly six months to the day after the horrific September 11th butchery -- that the visas of Mohammed Atta and Marwan Al-Shechi had been inspected and upgraded from "tourist" to "student."
President Bush tells us that since September 11th, we are much safer as a nation because the Federal Government has taken special measures to protect our borders.
Yeah, sure.
The INS is staffed and run by Third Worlders similar to the geniuses that we employ in the U.S. Postal Service.
Jorge Bush has encouraged this, saying all along that we must open our borders to even more Third World immigration. Just before September 11th, Bush proposed legalizing 11 million illegal aliens.
"New World Order" Bush is a joke and so are the "conservative" Republican morons who adore him.
America needs a real conservative as President to protect our borders, to expel illegal aliens, to create an INS that employs genuinely patriotic Americans....
Representative Tancredo chairs the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus and is a long-time outspoken critic of America's suicidal immigration policies.
"In light of the complete inability of the INS to carry out its responsibilities to the American public, it is appropriate for the INS commissioner to be removed," Tancredo said, calling his attack on Ziglar's incompetence "substantive" as well as symbolic. "This [the terrorist visa fiasco] is just the tip of the iceberg. Even though it's not the most serious problem that currently afflicts the INS, it's one that has galvanized the attention of the nation. The fraud and incompetence within the INS is out of control and has skyrocketed to the level that warrants the immediate dismissal of its commissioner."
James Ziglar was a political hack appointed to his post by President Bush as a willing lackey who would never dare defy orders. Professionally a lawyer and investment banker, Ziglar worked in the Reagan White House as an Assistant Secretary of the Interior. Ziglar's last job, ironically enough, was as the Senate's doorman, where he was doubtless more careful about who gained admission.
In his statement to the press, Tancredo was foolish or mendacious enough to blame the INS's misdeeds on "bureaucratic ineptitude" rather than their true cause, the desire of America's treasonous Washington leaders to turn our great First World republic into a Third World banana one. But the Colorado legislator was at least outspoken enough to quote the following outrageous statistics as proof of INS culpability:
To which we add, among many other horrifying immigration statistics, that the U.S. Border Patrol stops over 1 million illegals from crossing the Mexican border annually; that over 500,000 are not stopped; and that 15% of all felons incarcerated in California are Mexican nationals.
President Bush claims that he was "plenty hot" when he heard of the visas fiasco and calls it an "interesting wake-up call for the INS." But -- liar that he is -- Jorge continues to support, as he did before September 11th, legislation aimed at filling America with even more hordes of Mexicans and other illegal Third World immigrants unworthy of our hospitality, much less our citizenship.
Especially at our expense!
They support him because they are blind and deluded. They will support the NWO willingly and with all of their hearts. They look at Bush and see him as the best hope of this nation. It is like a personality cult, and people will worship the anti-christ in the same way. No matter what the anti-christ does, his supporters will give him a pass.
This stuff does not bother me. Heck, I am even kind of looking forward to it, because I know that this sorry mess will be over shortly. The worse it gets here, the nearer we are to its resolution. So let come what will come.
I expect to see a mini civil war within five years.
Ill probably be in Hawaii when it breaks out.

Good question--I hear Rush gripeing about CFR but if he has said a word about the amnesty I have missed it.
