An upstate judge has ordered the mother of a teenage boy to snuff it - ruling she can't smoke in her own home or her own car.
In a landmark decision, Justice Robert Julian ruled that the mom, Johnita DeMatteo, can't smoke in her Rome apartment or in her vehicle "at any time" because her secondhand smoke could pose a health risk to her 13-year-old son.

by the way, i was told that going to cuba is illegal if you are a citizen of the USA...is that correct and if really, why? i mean, land of the free and stuff...
I think a big part of the problem is the way judges are elected. I don't know how judicial election work in other places, but in Kentucky they work like this. Name are put on the ballet and people vote for them based on how well they recognize the name. If you run for Judge you get a lot of signs put up in yards and you win. I know of one black judge who had an Irish last name. He put most of his signs, which were green and white and had shamrocks on then, near all the Catholic Churchs. Nobody really knows anything about any of them or where they stand on any issue.

You can not prove something that doesn't exist. There is no, none, zero scientific evedence that SS does anything. Every, every study is below the noise threshold for other factors. In a phase, it( effects of ss ) are so small that it is immpossible to measure. When one considers the machines, techniques, and other scientific tool now in existance, well youd have to be stunned at the mass mind acceptance by leftist dogooders.
Tacis, a freeper, would support this judge, only he'd be sorry there wasn't a armed confrentation..
BWAH HA HAHA HA!!! You are kidding, right? This is no longer America, land of the free, this is Amerika, with 5% of the worlds popoluation, and 25% of the worlds prisoners. We have more of our own citizens locked up than Red China or the USSR ever had. Land of the free? Give me a break! What do you think will happen to this lady if she fires up cig in front of her kid? LOCK HER UP! (And the Qaueen said, "Off with her head!")
I had a boss who smoked constantly and I couldn't stand to be in his car so we always took seperate cars to meetings.
Forcing the Mom to stop smoking isn't going to make the relationship between Mom and Son better, that's for sure.
What's happened to comon sense? Sheesh.
I have no sympathy for this Mom. She could have easily resolved this issue by agreeing to smoke outside and not in the car. Her stubbornness and unwillingness to compromise led to a ridiculous court case.
Would'nt this mean that the kid is allowed to tell the mom what to do? And is that a good thing to do?
Tell me again, between puffs on your Marlboro, why pot smokers are scum and ought to be locked up.... Looks like your turn is rapidly approaching.
This is the natural fruit of War on Drugs thuggery. Mark my words, the time will come when your children will be dragged off to a foster home in a trailer park if you smoke or drink alcohol or don't floss your teeth.
When it happens, it will be the fault of religious fanatics and so-called "conservatives" who support the War on Drugs. You convinced most of the rest of us that the g*d-d**ned government had the power to tell us what herbs or chemicals we can ingest. Once such lunacy starts there is no stopping it.
Hope you're happy, you fascist jackasses.
