Sharon's inaction is becoming more and more at fault. When is he going to take more decisive action? You can't placate terrorists. And until Sharon does something, there will be more suicide bombers tomorrow, and the day after, and the weekend, and next week...

Even as a boy, when we used to celebrate Passover, I wondered what kind of people would celebrate a holiday that commemerated genocide, the death of every firstborn male Egyptian, and what kind of religion would celebrate such a bloodthirsty God.

The Palestinians have just learned from the Irgun which blew up the King David Hotel, killing almost a hundred people. The crime in all of this is realizing that there is no where to go. How can this possibly end except by turning all Palestinians into terrorists or all Israelis into Nazis?

Never mind that the land belonged to the palestinians "before" the US/UN put the Jews there after WWII huh? They have a legitimate beef there. Their methods are indefensable but started out as similar to those used in our fight for independance.(not including suicide bombings of course)

Unfortunately (for the muslims) sooner or later this will become an undeniable truth. Clearly, the issue is not with the West tolerating them, but their inability to live peacefully with the civilized world.

Over One Million arabs live in Israel, how many Jews live in the arab world?

I’ve begun to get beyond the point where just ending our dependence on their oil and returning them to the somewhat less lucrative occupation of sand farming would be an antidote. No, I hate to say it, but until the muslim world is turned to dust, I don’t see how there can be peace.

There is NO Palestinian nation.

There IS an Arab nation, which is divided amongst some 20+ sovereign states. Between them, they have more than enough territory for any self-identified Arabs who choose to live in these benighted regions.

To reiterate, there is NO Palestinian nation.

Now, all I can hope for to get peace on earth is for someone from State to mention the need to "end the cycle of Violence". What more can we ask for?

My my... when did the US get castrated? I don't remember signing up for the operation. Disgusting.

There's moral equivalence for you, "all Israelis into Nazis." It can end lots of different ways. It can end if all Israelis surrender and leave. It can end if Israel drives all the Arabs out of Israel. It can end if the Palestinians get leaders who want to end the war. It can end if the United States puts Arafat on the terror list and attacks him along with all the rest of the terrorists when we go into the region...is that good for a start?

You are kidding, correct?

It is FACT that the Jews occupied the lands of Israel for a thousand years before Islam even existed.

It is also a fact that while that area has been referred to on a few maps as Palestine, it has never, EVER been a recognized country, not even by their so-called friends, the Saudis, Iranians and Iraqis.

Two comments:

1. I thought Passover celebrated the survival of the Israelites (and their freedom), not the destruction of the Eqyptians.

2. Eventually, everyone dies -- does that make God "bloodthirsty"?

The Palestinians have just learned from the Irgun which blew up the King David Hotel, killing almost a hundred people.

Oh, it's OK then -- the Irgun did it first.

How can this possibly end except by turning all Palestinians into terrorists or all Israelis into Nazis?

It could end by the Palestinians deciding to live in peace with their neighbors.

In case you just came out of your drug induced stupor... the Israeli's BOUGHT the land from the Pali's even before 1948. Don't be absurd.

And as far as a previous country called Israel BEFORE the Palestinians were there... hmm... ever read the Old Testament? How about the New Testament? No? How about history books? ANY history book at all?

We have the whole continent. How would you like it if they gave Georgia of Colorado to the Arabs because they were persecuted in Europe? Doesn't sit well does it. Don't you think that if you lost property to this relocation you would have to resort to fighting by any means necc to get it back? That's what happened. Without compensation for lost property. And they've been pissed off ever since.

I'll say it again, I don't actually think either side is right or wrong. I just want everyone to look at it from the PA POV for a while before discounting them as animals, since they didn't start out that way at least.

I'm just saying that the PA terrorists actually have a beef that the world does not care to hear.

Oh really? Well, the EU is tossing about $300 mil a year down that rathole, with a proposed increase to $5.42 BIL over 5 years (it's their "Marshall Plan," you know), and the French consider the Palestinians their extra special friends, with Spain right behind. The Arab League kicks in about $500 mil a year, and, of course, a proposed increase. Saddam has just raised his bonus payment to the family of the suicide bomber/shooter to $25,000. The family also gets money from the Saudis, a monthly stipend from the PA, more from the Red Crescent (as in "International Red Cross and Red Crescent"). We won't even get into how much the leadership of the PA skims off the top and tucks away in some really *special* bank accounts.

So what's their beef? That they want to kill every Jew while driving Israel into the sea? That once they take over Israel & rename it Palestine they might have to ask for billions more from their very good friends because they're incapable of doing anything but kill?

Com'n, tell me what their beef is.

So you're saying that the only reason we have suicide bombings over there is because they are getting paid to sacrifice themselves? I could see that as workable since they are so indoctrinated/brainwashed into their "cause" but I don't buy that it started out that way. Could be what's fueling it now but the original problems started when the Jews moved into houses on Monday that belonged to Arabs the previous Sunday.

this man probably went Netanya to praise his God by feasting or fasting and praying ...

another man went to praise his "god" by strapping explosives onto himself and walking into a hotel of ordinary citizens, taking advantage of their distraction as they looked forward to the Holy Week of Passover

"allah" is not the God of Israel ... the suicide bomber worships a god of fortresses ... plain and simple ...

I said on another thread that the Israelis should arrest the next Palestinian mother who claims that she sent her son to his death as a suicide bomber, and put her on trial for murder. Put her in an open court room with TV cameras, show graphic photos of her dead son and his victims and then hold a public execution of the woman for the murder of her own son and his victims.

These women are no better than Andrea Yates, or Susan Smith.

Animals, barbarians! I'll call them that all day (and every time I hear/see/read about a suicide bomber doing the nasty I do) but it won't help me figure out what their problem is with Israel. One here thinks that it's for money and that's the only reason I've even read on this thread other than simple rascism. If someone could just let me in on a reasonable explanation as to why they are doing it, besides the obvious loss of property in the 40's, I'll shut up about it. Otherwise it's all really bigotry fueling arguments against my points.

You bring up a good point. You see, the Indians fought back against the colonists. And they lost. I am not saying that I agree with how it happened, but that is reality, the colonists won, they lost.

So how does this relate to the Israeli situation (as you appear to be trying to stear it away from that in bringing this up...)

Well, since the Jews, many of which were already living in the geographical region sometimes refered to as Palestine, were able to form an actual government, build infrastructure, and create a fledgling democracy in a sea of sheiks and dictators, more power to them. If the land is so-called Palestinian land, why did they not form a government, or build any infrastructure to support a population on this sacred land of theirs? Why is there no historical record in any forum of a Nation of Palestine? Why did even their neighbours cast them out and why to this day do they slum in refugee camps in Syria, Lebanon, Egypt and Jordan? Why do their brothers not take these blessed people in? You see, like the Indians, they were not organized, skilled, disciplined or wise. They were too busy killing each other off to notice that the land they had tried run the Jews off of for over a thousand years in the name of Allah was being taken back from their wretched hands.

Funny how their neighbours didn't give two flying squirrels about 'Palestine' until it suits their needs. Oh, and I assume then that you will be signing over the deed of your house to the local casino, correct?
