OMG doesn't he have enough on his plate mediating between Karen and Mrs. Jackson. The man's a glutton for punishment.

Yes, IMO.
I am a readaholic.
The details of how he started, his brothers, the techniques used, especially the details of his prior trips to Africa were fascinating.
The book is fascinating, and easy and quick to read. But it isn't a keeper.
I got it via amazon.com.

IMHO, Chucky the Clown would do a better job.
To: JeanS
Who's he going to bring along with him? Louis Farrakhan?
Sheesh, Jesse is the LAST thing that area needs. (This amends my previous statement of "Sheesh, GERALDO is the LAST thing that area needs.")

Yes, I'm sure Mr. "Hymietown" would approach the dispute very objectively, too.

A real reverend would know that peace in the Middle East will not be achieved until the Prince of Peace establishes it. If jesse does go, now would be a good time for the INS to finally secure our borders before he attempts a return.

This is Jesse "Hymietown" Jackson, folks. The same man who has said quite a few flattering things about Arafat and Afafat's thugs. The same man who has dedicated his life to dividing the American people and shaking down corporations for money, the same man who lies every time he opens his mouth, the same man who wants to keep blacks forever in slavery so that he can exploit their plight... and yet the media treats him as if he was actually relevant and in fact still calls him by his title of "Reverend". The U.S. would be better served were the media to simply ignore this con-man.

IMHO, his time would be better spent bonding with the son he has fathered out of wedlock and since ignored.
What kind of man turns his back on his own child?
This is not the person I want representing our country in any kind of mediation. Now if the Reverend Jesse Peterson offered his services, I'd accept his offer in a heartbeat!

Sorry, Jesse, we have Zinni.

son=child
My wife informs me the child Jackson fathered and has since ignored may have been a daughter.

Last time Jackson was seeking a role in an overseas conflict with the Taliban he called Secretary of State Colin Powell to discuss it. It was never revealed how Powell responded to Jackson's idea, but Jackson's diplomatic role did not come to fruition.Right...we all know that Bush told him to take a hike on that one and he did not mean to Afghanistan.

Found it...
WASHINGTON Jesse Jackson's offer to lead a "peace delegation" to negotiate with Afghanistan's ruling Taliban militia to hand over Osama bin Laden is receiving a cool reception from the Bush administration. But Jackson says he is still considering the trip. "We are waiting for more information," Jackson told CNN on Thursday afternoon. The United States has demanded that the Taliban turn over bin Laden, the suspected mastermind behind the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington on Sept. 11. Secretary of State Colin Powell and White House chief of staff Andy Card said Thursday that Jackson is "free to travel" as a U.S. citizen, but it is unlikely that talks would be productive.
"The president has told the world what the Taliban is expected to do," Card said. "There is no negotiation. Jesse Jackson could be most constructive helping to demonstrate how the United States and the rest of the world do not want to allow terrorists to terrorize any free country."
