'Beat Me in St. Louis' conference

If nothing else, they get an 'A' for creativity.

I don't know about any pan, but I hear Clinton used to do it in a sink. I guess he was sinksexual.

Deep thought for the day: What if there was an orgy and nobody came?

"It's phony to me," he added. "They're doing whatever they can to make a dollar with little concern for principle, for standards, for healthy sexuality, for guarding the hearts and the minds of people of all ages, obviously."

Didn't they say that all 171 rooms of this place are booked with people choosing to attend the event?? So if I stay there with my Husband they will "guard my heart and mind" and make sure that the sexuality I express with my Husband is "healthy" in their opinion?

That "reality check," Bill Johnson said, involves mobilizing Christians and conservatives to call and e-mail Cendant and the hotel hosting the event.

well, this conservative Christian will have to pass.

just my humble opinion....flame at will.

..."is offered only to those individuals who have shown a genuine commitment to the BDSM lifestyle and who will contribute positively to the group."

According to StL3's 'Beat Me in St. Louis' FAQ page, "We expect to have demos, seminars, and workshops covering caning, flogging, single-tail whips and other hands-on demos and seminars suited for people who are relatively new to the lifestyle as well as for those with a great deal of experience."

Yuck, they make it sound like some deviant version of a Tupperware Convention, with seminars, workshops and "hands-on" demonstrations.

"dedicated to the free expression of alternative lifestyles and forms of loving"

I guess they are trying to prove that 'love' really is a verb. I can't say any of this sounds much like love, however.

That's because we have our own little club, where membership "is offered only to those individuals who have shown a genuine commitment to morning humor and who will contribute positively to the group."

I'm quoting from the S&M guy in the article, so he/she/it is the one who's probably done a few employee evaluations.

"Despite Howard Johnson's attempt to attract families, the hotel's 4,500 square foot conference center will be the site of "Dungeon Parties," featuring medieval torture devices."

OMG this is too funny!!!

....I have a feeling this" Hemant Patel, the hotel manager who gave the go-ahead for the event" is in for some corporate torture!
