Welllll ... word on the street is things are super heated in Israel this weekend. Balloons are going up and Arafat is surrounded again. Hell if he still didn't reach out and call the press, his buddies in other arab countries and or course called on America to "stop the Jews" from defending themselves again.
He needs to be made an example of. He and his lieutenants. FWIW.
Just my opinion. And only part of it.
Stay safe this weekend buddie.

"It is clear that this operation targets the president personally and the Palestinian leadership as a whole," Abed Rabbo told Reuters by telephone from inside the compound where Arafat had been confined by Israel since December.

Thanks! I was listening to the radio last night when they were describing the movement on arafart's HQ and I just had to click on the TV to watch what I hoped was the end of the PA.

So far it looks like another limited operation, although Sharon has called up the reservists.
Yassar was talking with Christine Amanpour by phone just a bit ago. He's still in there, maybe trapped.
I'm going out for a while, and will see what they've done with him, if anything, later this evening.

I saw the "interview" with the hideous Amanpour, and he has LOST IT, big time. Either that, or he's incredibly senile. I haven't laughed that hard in ages, especially when he yelled at her and then gave her a cheery, sing-songy "bye-bye" before hanging up on her.

Am ok, went to see the Golon on the 4 day weekend. Had a blast climbing in old syrian bunkers they once shelled the Jews from. Sat in some old tanks, took pictures of the fields of wild flowers and drank coffee watching the sun go down over the Galilee. Sorry to worry you all. Got some nice stuff to send home. For my cousin the war buff, a handfull of ak47 shell casings with links at one syrian bunker. There were a few M16's mixed in. "And now you know the rest of the story..." -grin-

Nice to hear you're doing okay. How's the general public sentiment in Israel now, far as you can tell?
