I guess now is as good a time as any to remind all who read this thread - the date was chosen by the America-hating, anti-freedom, communist, anarchist, socialist protesters... as the date for their "mass convergence" on DC.

The DC Chapter of Free Republic, as a group, felt that it was important that the date not be reported and remembered as the date that these yahoos took over our nation's Capital, nor that it should be remembered for all the other evil things that have occurred - and probably will continue to occur, so long as the earth continues in existence - on this date; but rather that it be remembered - by us at least - as another day when freedom loving Americans stood up for all that is good about our country.

We are planning a very positive, family-friendly day on the grounds of the Washington Monument, and we invite all those who treasure their freedom to make the trip to celebrate America with us, if they are able to do so. For those who can't make it to DC - we will miss you, but please know that you'll be with us in our hearts.

I found a link on the 'net with some interesting information, and it seems fitting to mention on this thread - as it is the sacrifices of many, many thousands of men and women, every day of the year, who have made America the land of the free. And it is truly the home of the brave.

On April 20, during the "Vietnam Conflict," the following Americans were reported MIA:
