A nice statement from Senator Inhofe, but he's wrong about Israel not using F-16's in the '67 war. They didn't use them because they didn't exist yet.

The reason we should support Israel is simply because it is common sense. Something that is beyond the grasp of American "intellectuals", Europeans and leftist.

I only need one reason to support Israel; Islam has declared was on the civilized world and the Israeli-Palestinian crisis is just one of the Islamic War's many fronts.

Israel today is a modern marvel of agriculture

I bet with all the money America's taxpayers have shoveled to Israel courtesy of the politicians anyplace on earth could have done the same:

U.S. Aid To Israel

Oh really! Perhaps Egypt, where we give the anti-Americans $2bn/yr, is an oasis as well.

So, we let the Arabs overrun Israel. Are they done yet? No.
So, then we let the Mulims overrun Indonesia. Are they done yet? No.
So, then we let the Muslims overrun the Phillipines. Are they done yet? No.
So, then we let the Muslims overrun India. Are they done yet? No.
So, then we let the Muslims overrun Spain. Are they done yet? No.

And so on...

Where do you propose we draw the line in the sand?

These are pretty poor reasons for the US policy of 100% bias in favor of Israel. Our Congresscritters wouldn't say Boo! if they learned that Israel was working on some genetic virus that would turn the Palestinians into some kind of programmed robots. They'd think it was fine, actually.

My home is on land that was probably taken from some Indian tribe; I find "archaeological" evidence all the time.

The 6 million Jews were killed in Europe, not the Arab world. Looking back on 50 years, rather than acting from "humanitarian" concern, the creation of Israel was a denial of the humanity of the people who had been living on that land.

If it were up to me, I'd send all Muzlims back to their ARab holy lands. Then, I'd find alternate sources of oil: Mexico, Russia, US etc, and wipe them off our list altogether. I'd then put a strong military presence near or in Israel as a deterrent.

It is part of their faith to lie, and we cannot afford to have any dealings with liars.

Let them have their culture of death AWAY from us, and kill each other...not us! (US) Or Israel, our longtime and reliable friend.

Guy needs a history lesson. FRANCE was Israel's supplier of aircraft up the until 67 and even 73 when the Arab oil boycott ended France's roll. It has been the USA ever since 73 when Nixon saved them

Washington said "Tis our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances, with any portion of the foreign world..."

Very true but that was before OIL. We allied with Kuwait and the Saudias because of it

BS:

In other countries it would have been nearly wasted by corrupt governments.

That's funny -- look at all the money that has been poured into Arab nations and Africa and Arafat's Palestine and it winds upon in the coffers of terrorists and dictators.

Money for Israel is a good investment. Their farms feed the terrorist-loving Europeans even.

So you want the Jews of Israel to give back the land they inhabit. Meanwhile you continue to inhabit a home "...on land that was probably taken from some Indian tribe".

Good point. If we start this give back land stuff, where does it stop? Americans would have to pack their bags and head back to Europe, Asia, Africa while the Native Americans (Indians) and Aztecs and other indiginous Mexican tribes would have everything from Canada through Mexico. I guess I can go back to Scotland, Ireland, or Wales and demand that the English give me back my ancestors land.

Also, if Israel had not been there, how much money would we have spent in the last 50 years fighting in that area. You know the Commies would have tried to take over the oil fields and destroy our economy. We would have had to stop them and World War III would have been fought sometime in the 60's or 70's. If it went nuclear, we all might not exist right now. Israel has loyaly served as our watchman in the Middle East to keep our access open.
