Let all anti-Jews understand, the Jewish people will not go quietly into the night, the Jews will fight and they will prevail! Those who sow the death of the Jews will reap their own destruction

Abu Gosh Abu Gosh is a Christian Arab village just west of Jerusalem.
During the 1948 war, they choose not to fight the Jews and they were left unharmed to prosper in the State of Israel.
They too seem to need to be guarded from the savages.

Now she is concerned about the daily struggle of looking after her family, particularly how to finance the high cost of treatment and hearing aids for their two deaf children.I hope he is repaid for his heroism and his family is well taken care of. Great post.

BTW, would a .17" or 5.7mm bullet set off TNT?

>Following the bombing at Haifa's Matza Restaurant a few days later - when 16 people lost their lives - Haifa Mayor Amram Mitzna said that had the eatery been protected by a guard - "like the guard in Kiryat Hayovel" - the scope of the attack there too would have been greatly lessened.
There are not very many people like that guard. I hope is family was well provided for by insurance.

Smadar was immediately suspicious of her. He grabbed her by the arms, and said: "You are not coming in here. You and I will blow up here."Bump for presence of mind and heroism.

or try these words.
>"You are not coming in here."
Which is like "You shall not pass!" if Tolkien had written it.

Why, why did they take him from me?" Because they are murderous Nazis and he is a Jew. That is reason enough for them.

"Tunisian-born Haim Smadar, who immigrated to Israel with his family as a toddler, had worked for the past three years as the security guard for a Ma'alot Dafna school." Yup--his family were obviously so well-regarded by the congregation members of the "religion of peace" in Tunisia that they decided to forego living among the "peaceful Muslims" further, and moved to Israel. Obviously, they must have been some kind of "Zionist plotters" for making that choice. </ sarcasm>

May God bless him and his family for this.

Not if it went through the head of the person carrying it. Yes, but I was wondering whether such a firearm might be useful for detonating a walking-bomb before it could get too close to anyone else? I don't think most handgun rounds will set off TNT, but the two mentioned have exceptionally high velicity so I was wondering if they might.

I first read this post an hour ago but had to compose myself before I could write a comment.
What you see here is the difference between a civilized man who lost his life to protect others, and a people who are defined only by their hate.
I'm sending this story via email to everyone I know. I'm also going to send a copy to the public email of every US journalist I can find. This is the kind of story that we deserve to hear, and we should be demanding that the US media repeat it.
I'm sending a copy to my representatives in Congress, as well as all of my family and freinds, and I'm asking that all FReepers do the same.
This tells the real story of the mideast, and if enough people hear it, maybe it will make some difference.

This is Congressional-Medal-of-Honor-type courage, in the tradition of those who fell on grenades to protect others. God rest his gallant soul.

Bump for presence of mind and heroism. And let's see how much attention our media gives this hero.
