Students Singled Out Before Peers for Belief that Homosexuality is Wrong

A school district in California is facing a federal lawsuit after representatives from Planned Parenthood were brought in to address a health class without parental notice.

School administrators at Arcata High School invited guest speakers from Planned Parenthood to address the freshman class. The topic to be covered was sexual education -- but more specifically, "homophobia" and homosexuality.

Brad Dacus of the Pacific Justice Institute says what took place during the class amounted to religious-based harassment.

"Planned Parenthood put all the kids in a circle and then they would ask them questions. If they answered the questions correctly, the children got to leave the circle and watch and look and stare at the quote-unquote ‘intolerant’ kids inside the circle," Dacus says.

"Inside the circle, the final question asked of the children was, ‘Do you have religious beliefs that ... homosexuality is a sin and therefore wrong?’ There was [sic] three girls who were left in the middle of the circle feeling very demeaned, very put down."

Dacus says such exercises are all too common in California schools. "These kinds of programs are becoming the norm, not the exception," he says. "They’re becoming much more the rule, and that is why it’s so important to protect our children from this kind of stigmatizing trauma that’s taking place against Christian kids with Christian family backgrounds."

Dacus says the exercise violated both state and federal law when it was performed without prior written parental consent. The parents of at least one Christian student are considering legal action against the school district.

The Communist Chinese used to use this exact technique all the time.

Indoctrination technique, through humiliation. Put me on the jury! I'll bankrupt the state and the agencies involved. I would do the same if the state did the opposite. It's a question of principle. The state should not be using indoctrination techniques on young children either for or against religious beliefs.

This is something I have been predicting for many years now. "Tolerance" for homosexuality would be redefined as ostracism and demeaning of those who don't believe that it is wrong, sinful, unnatural, or any combination of the three.

Go get 'em, Brad!

Arcata is home of Humboldt State U, where a major in tree-hugging is offered.

Top school in CA for Forestry Major. Back in the early 90's student housing was so bad students were living in caves and trees.

Visiting the campus is like a time warp back to 1968 Berkeley. That said, the people there are just great.

LOL. I didn't know that. I drove thru in '94 and liked Trinidad so much I actually looked for an apartment....ended up in Mendocino instead for a couple of years. Love those redwoods.

Of course it could also be an opportunity for some spunky kid to do an in-your-face to the liberal-bigots. What in h*ll should "Planned Parenthood," if true to its name, have to do with homosexuality. No amount of planning can enable a person to become a parent via sexual acts with another of the same gender.

This is how public schools operate nowadays. They use the same brain washing techniques the Germans and Communists used -- squeal on your family members and your classmates so your family has a file with Social Services, knock down religious beliefs by belittling them, indoctrinate students with all sorts of radical ideas, densensitize children to aberrant lifestyles(perverted sexual practices (MA is great for this with their "Fisting" curriculum), the acceptance of homosexuality as a viable lifestyle, extreme environmentalism, radical feminism, political correctness, multiculturism, etc.) I think all this is being done because we are going to live in a global economy with a one-world government and we all have to learn to get along, doncha know. Is it a wonder why James Dobson and Laura Schlessinger tell parents to pull kids out of these "schools"?

What's even sadder is that only 3 people were left in the middle of that circle. California is nearly a lost cause if the land and sites weren't so beautiful.

One reason I won't give a dime to United Way is because Planned Parenthood strongly advocates abortion.
Now Planned Parenthood has taken to terrorizing kids with the homo agenda.
This organization needs to be put in deep bankruptcy.

SAN FRANCISCO—Spokespersons for the National Gay & Lesbian Recruitment Task Force announced Monday that more than 288,000 straights have been converted to homosexuality since Jan. 1, 1998, putting the group well on pace to reach its goal of 350,000 conversions by the end of the year.

EXCELLENT!

Teach your children to refuse to participate in these "exercises."

A trip to the principal's office, requireing a call to the aprents, opens the door to any action you want to take.

After reading the title of the article, my first thought was I am surprised there are any children, especially teens, who would stand up and say homosexuality is wrong.

HATS OFF TOO THE KIDS WHO DO!!!

How many more felt as those girls did but were too intimidated to defend the truth?

God have mercy on these public school perverts, for we will have none!

This is nothing more than anti-Christian persecution of Christians put on by the anti-Christ leftist socialists that brainwash our children on a daily basis! Every Christian organization in the nation ought to join in a class action law suit against these leftist persecutors of our children!

You mean the 8 billion Kennedy/NEA Consolidation of Power Act??
